I like taking photos very much. Once I travelled by ship a cloudy morning. It was in the afternoon the weather turned fine. Therefore, I wanted to take some photos. I was looking around and I saw next to me a lovely little girl (sit) on her father's shoulders. was luchy for me to meet such a perfect moment—the girl was smiling and the surrounding view was beautiful. Without thinking, I took a picture the little girl at that moment.
Her mother was surprised that a (strange) was photographing her daughter. I explained that I was moved by that sight and showed them photo on my digital(数字的) camera. They loved it very much. I said I could email it to them when I got home. Finally, they gave their email address. The next day, I sent them their daughter's photo as I (promise).
This morning I received a message back saying they are grateful and they are very happy with the lovely photo of their daughter and a lovely memory of the day.
Last night my husband and I were taking a post-dinner walk in a nearby parking lot, where we saw a man bending over on the ground, crushing something with a rock. He was completely focused on his task and didn't look up at anyone passing by. We kept noticing him as we hung around the parking lot and guessed what he could be doing. I thought he was crushing stones to make sand, but why would he do that?
Finally we decided to go up and speak to him. He was crushing pieces of leftover bread that he collected from all his roommates to feed the birds that come there early morning. The large pieces of Indian bread would be difficult for the birds to eat, so he crushes them into a fine powder.
He's been doing this every night, by himself, for the last 3~4 years. What moved us more was that he was surprised when we were even taking an interest in this, since for him it wasn't a big deal. Every night, after reaching his bachelor accommodation from his job as a tailor, he goes around the village collecting leftover bread from all his housemates. He then eats a quick meal and comes here, and spends the next 1~2 hours, thoroughly crushing each piece and makes a neat pile for the birds, which will be gone by next evening.
When we asked him what motivates him to do this simple, small but committed act of service, he shrugged his shoulders and said, "It's just something small I do; so that the leftover bread doesn't go into the trash and the birds get food." We shared his story with the hope that it reminds us to be mindful of leftovers too and perhaps it might inspire someone to start something similar in their own area.
Perhaps no one knows the power of imagination better than Chinese writer Liu Cixin. Until four years ago, Liu worked full-time as a computer engineer at a power plant in Shanxi province. He only wrote science fiction in his spare time. But it was during this time that Liu's imagination took flight.
But even with such a powerful imagination, Liu, 55, probably hadn't expected that he would become the first Asian to win the Hugo Award, science fiction's highest prize, in 2015. Perhaps neither did he think that former US president Barack Obama would read his novel The Three-Body Problem, nor that on Nov 9 in Washington DC, he would win the 2018 Arthur C. Clarke Award for Imagination in Service to Society. It's the first time a Chinese writer has ever won the award.
In his acceptance speech, Liu said that he owed his imagination to Arthur C. Clarke, a famous UK sci-fi author. He said that reading Clarke's classic novel: A Space Odyssey in the early 1980s had a great effect on him.
"My mind opened up like never before. I felt like a narrow river finally seeing the sea, " Liu said. "That night, in my eyes, the starry sky was completely different from the past. For the first time in my life, I was awed (使……敬畏) by the mystery of the universe. "
But no matter how far away Liu's imagination takes him, somehow his novels always stay rational. For example, in The Wandering Earth, Liu looks ahead to the day when our solar system comes to an end and humans have to look for a new place to live. However, all his visions and solutions are based on "hard science". Liu's works aren't simply daydreams.

Every day thousands of people travel across the world for different reasons. Whenever I've checked in for a flight, I've seen many travellers saying "I missed it" or "I forgot it", etc. This happens because while packing our bags, we miss so many important things.
The baggage packing isn't a big job but many people see it as a messy job. I'll advise you to always pack your bags according to your trip. The baggage should be different according to the duration(持续时间)of your trip. You shouldn't carry unnecessary things or more than what you need.
If you're going on a business trip of not more than 2-3 days, then make sure you don't carry more than a single bag. Pack 2-3 business suits , a night suit and also some casual (非正式的) clothes. You'll need casual clothes because you might get a chance to explore the place.
While on holidays of 5-6 days, you have to be very smart while packing your bag. First of all, check the climate of the place. If it's summer, then carry lightweight clothes and if it's winter, you have to pack a sweater. For holidays, pack all the small things you'll be requiring. But don't carry too many things.
If you're going to a relative's place, then you can be a bit relaxed because if you miss something, you won't have to worry as your relative will be there to help you. But don't forget to buy gifts for your relatives. If the gifts are fragile, then pack them in a hard box and always keep them in between clothes. No need to carry too many clothes as you can wash your clothes at their place. This will also help you to shop more and more.
