The Biggest Stadiums in the World
People have been pouring into stadiums since the days of ancient Greece. In around 8 A.Q., the Romans built the Colosseum, which remains the world's best known stadium are continues to inform contemporary design. Rome's Colosseum was 157 feet tall and had 80 entrances, seating 50,000 people. However, that was small fry compared with the city's Circus Maximus, which accommodated around 250,000 people.
These days, safety regulations-not to mention the modern sports fan's desire for a good view and a comfortable seat-tend to keep stadium capacities(容量)slightly lower. Even soccer fans tend to have a seat each; gone are the days of thousands standing to watch the match.
For the biggest stadiums in the world, we have used data supplied by the World Atlas list so far, which ranks them by their stated permanent capacity, as well as updated information from official stadium websites.
All these stadiums are still functional, still open and still hosting the biggest events in world sport.

The first time I went to France, I was shocked by the cultural differences in daily routines and manners. Born and brought up in Britain, I used to believe that we share the same cultural manners with our European neighbour. But how wrong I was!
The most challenging difference for me was the food and eating time. After one month of living here, I still got strange looks as I ate my homemade sandwiches behind a computer screen while the other colleagues enjoyed a three-course meal in the canteen. They also had a two-hour "pause" which seemed to involve every employee in France. What's more, having evening meals at 6 pm was a common habit for people from the north of England, like me. Therefore, an evening meal at 9 pm was quite challenging for my stomach. After realising the fact that the local snacks were worth the wait, however, I quickly accustomed to this more relaxing way of life, which was hard to imagine before I came here.
Another aspect of French food and drink culture that I found hard to adapt to at first is the cafe culture. I am getting used to a quick espresso(浓咖啡), but deep down I have to admit that when catching up with an old friend, nothing suits more than a tall latte(1#)and a slice of homemade cake, preferably in a comfortable English tea room
Finally, there go greetings. At home I feel comfortable shaking someone's hand on the first meeting. So when I greeted a stranger with two kisses on the cheeks, I felt slightly out of my comfort zone. I do, though, appreciate this part of the French culture.
Being exposed to cultural differences is a unique experience which makes you appreciate your roots more and open your eyes to the diversity of the world.
I experienced years of loneliness as a child. His friends teased him about babysitting his sister and his interests were far different from mine. With no other kids of my age in the neighborhood, I had to spend hours by myself.
A bright spot for me turned out to be reading. My love of the written word began early as my mother read to me every evening. I started reading books on my own before age 5 and my mother took me to the public library once a week to borrow several books. I quickly graduated from typical children's books to ones with fewer pictures and longer chapters. Reading opened new worlds to me.
My mother also encouraged me to make what I wanted. I tried making toy cars with cardboard boxes and constructing buildings from leftover cardboard and bits of wood my father gave me. When my mother saw my creations, she told me how creative my designs were. I learned a lot about how to extend the life of objects and transform them into something new and useful. It was a trait(特点) others found helpful, and I soon had friends who wanted to make things with me.
My parents made it a point for their two kids to spend time outside, no matter the weather or season. My brother, of course, raced off to be with his friends, while I had plenty to do myself. There was making leaf houses in autumn, ice skating in winter, and so much more. They're all memories I treasure today.

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy (心理疗法) meant for a small group of people, who meet, interact and solve their common problems, guided by a qualified therapist. The concept of group therapy was developed in the first half of the twentieth century. Since then, this form of therapy has undergone many changes to involve various groups of people and their problems. Healing together as a family or a community is an old concept. This concept origings from problem-solving approaches used in homes, and put forth with a clinical approach to help people collectively (全体地) solve their problems, despite being unrelated to each other.
The therapy is based on the assumption of helping people emotionally and psychologically to deal with personal problems, using the collective power of the group and with assistance of a therapist who leads the entire process. Most therapists develop their own exercises, and here are two activities usually followed in most group therapy sessions.
The one is “Trust and Support Building”. For this exercise, some teams are made and to build support in a team of three. One person is blindfolded, another person’s arms are tied back, and the third one remains silent. They’re given simple tasks such as cooking a salad, planting a few young trees or even shopping. These sessions help the group by encouraging them to keep trying to accomplish the tasks, by being supportive of each other. This exercise weaves trust within the group.
Once the trust is built, people are asked to open up by confessing and their problems. The “Confessions and Acceptance” activity can be carried out either by talking directly to all or just by reading out an earlier written confession. Some counselors also invite the families of the individuals to celebrate the victories of each individual in the group. Each victory leads to a positive change.

Nowadays more and more Chinese go to work with bicycle, leaving their cars at home. Why are so many people riding bicycles to work? They have different reason for it.
First, bicycles do not use up any fuel. Therefore, they cost less than other means of transport. Besides, bicycles do not need many space on the road, and it is easily to find a place for it. And everybody knows that riding a bicycle is healthy sport.
When people drive their cars to work or shop, they lost the chance to exercise, but the waste gas from the cars will pollute the air. And moreover, people feel annoying when looking for a parking lot in the busy city center. So I prefer riding a bicycle to drive a car.
We are looking forward to a cleaner and better environment by changing our life style.
