No doubt we all have experienced frustration(受挫). It may be something as 1 as growing flowers or as serious as developing better relationships with others. Whatever the 2 is, there comes a point when you just feel you can't go on any further.
And yet, the secret to 3 can be found in a tube of toothpaste. Every time I come to the 4 of a tube of a toothpaste, I am completely 5 that just when I think it is absolutely empty, I can 6more toothpaste out of it. I am sure you all have gone through the 7 thing.
So, next time you find yourself in such a situation, 8 the tube. We can all 9times that success came when we were on our 10 chance or when we were doing something for the final time. It is when you dig deep down for that one last burst of 11 that you achieve your goal.
12 , too many people give up too early. All they 13 to do is squeeze one more drop of toothpaste from the tube. There are hundreds of 14 of successful people who kept on going in the face of adversity(逆境) and 15. Even the writers of Chicken Soup for the Soul were 16 by 33 publishers before they found one who would 17their book.
If you have the passion to go for your 18, then keep squeezing that “inner tube of toothpaste”. It is only when you 19 the “passion” that you will know whether success is yours or not. Just make sure that you don't 20 too soon. Success may be just around the corner.
John Smith was a very handsome young man but he was lazy. He had finished his education and was happy to sit in his room and listen to the radio all day long. In fact, he had been doing nothing for almost six months, which worried his father a lot. One day Mr. Smith decided that he had to do something. "John, when I was your age I was working and supporting my ten brothers and sisters. I want you to go out and get a job." So that was what he did. In fact, in the next three months, John started ten jobs and was fired from ten jobs. He explained to his father.
"They wanted me to be at work at 8:00 a. m. and told me to do all sorts of unpleasant things."
"I don't care how you do it," Mr. Smith said. "Either you earn some money or move out of the house. I gave you one week's time."
In the next few days John began to change. He still stayed in his room all day, but spent his time writing letters and reading through the newspapers. More and more posts began to arrive for him. He bought a new suit for himself and invited his parents to the theatre and for dinner afterwards at the most expensive restaurant in town. When his proud parents arrived home after their evening hour, a policeman was waiting at the front door.
"John Smith," he said as he handed him a piece of paper, "I'll see you in the court tomorrow. "
When he got outside, John told his parents everything. "When you told me to earn some money, I decided to put an advertisement in the newspaper saying, ‘New way to money fast!Send me $5 and I'll tell you my secret. 'When I received the money I wrote back telling people to do as I do."
John was fined $250 by the court and was ordered to pay all the people back. As he left the court house feeling very ashamed, a newspaper man came up to him, "Young man, would you like to tell your story to my newspaper for $2500?"

The event that stands out in Tom's memory happened one morning when Tom was only ten years old. He was at home with his elder sister Jane. Tom was doing his homework when he heard raised voices. At first he thought nothing of it since customers in the motorcycle shop directly below their flat often became loud, but he soon realised this time it was different.
"Quick! Quick! Remove the motorcycles from the shop, "someone yelled.
Then a thick burning smell filled the air. When Tom opened the front door of their flat to investigate, a thick cloud of smoke greeted him. The motorcycle shop had caught fire and people were running and crying.
Jane, who had been playing the violin in her room, hurried to the living room. They rushed out of the door and along the corridor(走廊) through the smoke.
They were heading towards the stairway at the far end of the corridor when Jane stopped in her track. She turned around and headed back the way they came. Tom had no idea what she was doing, but he followed her.
Jane had suddenly remembered the lady in her 70s who lived next door to them, who they called Makcik Malay for auntie. Jane began banging on Makcik's door, but got no answer. As the smoke thickened around them, Tom could see many of their neighbours—some still in their pyjamas(睡衣)—running for safety. The thought of fear crossed his mind.
"She might have run for safety like everyone else!" Tom cried. However, Jane refused to give up. "I know Makcik's still inside. "She said she was familiar with Makcik's daily routine and was certain she would still be sleeping. She pounded at the door. "Go downstairs. Go now!Go!"
