When we were kids, if our parents wanted us to stop the screen time, they would turn off the TV. They grab the cell phone, the tablet or the laptop. Here we will talk about how to control their screen time.
First, limit the time they use screens. Kids are smart. Once you go back to your daily routine, they will quickly be back on a screen. Because they just don't understand that when you tell them to get off the tablet or computer, you mean for the rest of the day.
It can be going outside to play, reading a fun book or cleaning their room. Presenting them with an alternative helps the under-developed planning part of their little brains get past what they can't do and see what else is possible.
And third, hide the screen device. That one may not seem very fair. If they don't see the device around the house, they can't grab it. This way, works for us adult-types who may be a little too addicted to screens ourselves.
Ultimately, the best way to help kids recognize how much is too much screen time is to limit our own. Yeah, you may have to stare at one all day for your job, but do you really have to come home and immediately turn on the TV or answer that email on your phone? Don't think your kids aren't taking excuses from your actions.
A. Second, give them an alternative.
B. So, it's necessary to set a limited time.
C. It may seem easy, but it can be challenging.
D. Now, kids often have a choice of which screen they want.
E. They watch you just as closely as they watch those screens.
F. Now go to find a screen and turn it off, for you and for your kids.
G. But the phrase “out of sight, out of mind” actually works sometimes.
Body language, especially gestures, varies among cultures. For example, a nod of the head means "yes" to most of us. Likewise, a sign for OK, forming a circle with our forefinger and thumb, means zero in France and money in Japan.
Folded arms signal pride in Finland, but disrespect in Fiji. The number of bows that the Japanese exchange on greeting each other, as well as the length and the depth of the bows, signals the social status each party feels towards each other.
Italians might think you're bored unless you use a lot of gestures during discussions. Many Americanmen sit with their legs crossed with one ankle resting over the opposite knee.
Likewise, Americans consider eye contact very important, often not trusting someone who is afraid to look at you in the eye. But in Japan and many Latin American countries, keeping the eyes lowered is a sign of respect.
A. To look a partner full in the eye is considered a sign of ill-breeding and is felt to be annoying.
B. As is known to all, eyes are the window the soul.
C. However, this would be considered an insult in Muslim countries, where one will never show the sole of the foot to a guest.
D. But in Bulgaria and Greece a nod means "no" and a shake of the head means "yes".
E. Waving or pointing to an Arab business person would be considered rude because that is how Arabs call their dogs over.
F. However, whatever cultures you are exposed to, bear in mind that when in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Every year, people around the world purchase roughly 526 billion bottles, and that number is on increase. More than 8 million pieces of plastic pollution find their way into our oceans every day. Much of other plastic (throw) in landfills or rivers also has bad effects on wildlife. Many people are now trying (cut) down on plastic use, while also turning these single-use plastics into something (benefit) — like auto parts.
The Ford Motor Company has used recycled plastic since the 1990s. Today, it (transform) recycled plastic into vehicle parts in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, (specific) underbody shields (车底护板)on all cars.
"The underbody shield is a large part. is likely for such a big part to weigh three times as much if we use solid plastic," says Thomas Sweder, design engineer of the Company. "We're looking for the most durable and (green) materials to make our parts."
Finding new and innovative ways to recycle single-use plastics is essential for our planet. With one of the largest (company) committed to working with recycled plastics, there's hope others will follow suit.
