If you grew up watching the kid's television channel Nickelodeon, you will probably understand that there is nothing greater than enjoying its special bright green slime (水晶泥). The week of May 11, astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) joined the slime.

Nickelodeon sent two kilos of its green slime into space in the summer of 2019. The Slime in Space project's idea was to create an educational trip for teachers to use in class. The green slime was also used to guide astronauts through a series of experiments that were designed to learn more about how slime acts in microgravity.

Researchers from Portland State University (PSU) were excited to design the experiments for the project. Mark Weislogel and his partner designed eight shows for NASA astronauts and European Space Agency astronauts aboard to perform.

If you're wondering what we could hope to learn from sending slime into space, the answer lies in its very name. Slime is slimy. This is because it is a liquid that is thicker than liquids like water. This makes slime act in unexpected ways in the microgravity of the ISS. Improving our understanding of how thicker liquids act in space may help us improve the design of systems that something were designed with Earth's gravity in mind.

"Interestingly, we consider liquid on Earth as that takes the shape of its container," Koch tells CNN." Water just turns into a ball in microgravity, so we've had to have a new understanding of different kinds of matter in space. This experiment shows how microgravity can help us understand things on Earth, especially the things we take for granted."

    I live in a city and frequently notice the trash throwing randomly on the sides of the roads. Every time I take my dog for a walk and go outside for something else, I am happy that to pick up at least one piece of trash. Although it seems that this small act won't make a differ, it truly makes me feel good about me for helping out. If we all do this small thing just one a day, we'll be taking part helping the planet. Gradually，our world may become the cleaner and better place. I hope this inspired even one person to pick up the rubbishes.

Learning to set goals plays an important role as your child starts to gain independence. However, setting goals doesn't come naturally to your child, so helping him to learn the process should probably be one of your goals.

Explain the word "goal". Your child may know what a goal is when it comes to soccer, but he may not understand what it means in everyday life.

Listen to your child. Ideally, you want your child to be able to decide for himself what his goals are. Let him talk about what he thinks he does well and what he thinks he needs to improve. If he's stuck, you can provide some examples of your own personal goals.

Help keep goals achievable. Don't throw cold water on your child. For example, if your child wants to be a champion swimmer, but can't swim an entire lap of the pool yet, you can suggest he start by making that his first goal.

Help your child write down his goals in an easy­to­follow form. Being able to see and check off the steps on the way to his goal is key in keeping him motivated. A really simple way is to have your child draw a ladder on a piece of paper, writing his goal at the top and each step to that goal on the rungs (梯级).

A. Change goals every so often.

B. Make a visual goal reminder.

C. Don't always tell him what you think.

D. He's climbing to the top as he gets closer to his goal.

E. You can take sports as an example to help explain it to him.

F. Once he has set up a goal, he may find it very difficult to achieve it.

G. When a goal is beyond his reach, help him break it down into smaller pieces.

Recently, an Internet slang word Foxi- or "Buddhist"- is becoming increasingly popular as it encourages people, especially  young to remain calm and peaceful and avoid conflicts as much as possible- in other words, to live like a Buddha.

The phrase   (create) for the first time in 2014 in Japan to describe young men who no longer bother to start relationships with women or follow someone else's life path. They prefer to stay in their own peaceful world without  (disturb) and care little about passion and success.

In this fast-changing and  (compete) world, many people are   heavy pressure. It's only natural that people are seeking for a spiritual bay.

However, some would compare "foxi" with "demotivational (无动力的) culture"- a phrase   describes young people who feel aimless and powerless. They say that foxi actually reflects the reality that young people are losing their will to fight. They are pretending  (keep) a healthy and wise attitude towards  (fail) simply because they are incapable(无能力的) of succeeding.

All in all, there is one thing that "Buddhist Youngsters" should  (basic) keep in mind: You may want to keep a calm mindset,   you should never stop fighting for yourselves!

    Michael Evans was standing in line at the Treasurer's Office last August, waiting to pay his taxes, when he heard a(n) 1 sound ahead of him. The elderly woman at the window was crying. He heard  the cashier 2the woman that her house was in foreclosure (丧失抵押品赎回)  and headed for auction (拍卖). He also heard the woman tell the cashier that her daughter had recently died. Evans, a businessman who had just buried his father, couldn't3the idea of this woman losing her home4after losing her child. He5the window. "I don't mean to butt in," he said to the cashier, "but6you can get her house back, I'll pay for her taxes." The amount added up to $5,000.

    The old woman was shocked. Her despair turned to7. The cashier left for a moment to8 that it was all right for Evans to pay it. Evans promised to go9to the bank and come back with the money. But when he returned to the treasurer's office, he asked x ue ke wa ng someone else waiting in line to hand the $5,000 check to the cashier. Evans was trying to10quietly and, preferably, anonymously (匿名地).

    "I didn't want this attention," he explained.

It's not every day that someone pays a stranger's tax bill.  As is reported, Evans often finds himself on the giving end of charitable situations, though for years he went unrecognized for it. 12paying the elderly woman's taxes, Evans said he did it for 13  but to make sure the lady stayed in her own house.

    A few weeks after the tax14, Evans received the Spirit of Detroit Award for his lifetime of 15. Again, he didn't want the attention, but his son felt the honor was overdue. "It was good to see my dad finally get the16he deserves," his son said. Michael Evans is nearing 60 and will retire    soon. Before he does, he hopes that his son will17him in a fund-raiser to pay for a wheelchair for a boy with an incurable bone disease.     China and Western country may have different cultural beliefs about certain animals. But when it comes to pigs, we somehow reach an agreement that pigs are lazy, ugly, stupidly and shameless. Neither of these words describing pigs are exactly positive. Moreover, the truth is what pigs have some good qualities. And there's probably no good time to clear their names than now, with the arrival of the Year of the Pig on Chinese Spring Festival, which fell February 5 this year. According to a paper publishing in 2017, pigs can tell between those who treat them well or those who don't. Perhaps these are the qualities of pigs to keep it in mind—their intelligence, cuteness and patience.
