Some phones had become part of our daily life. No matter who we are, we can see people busy play with their smart phones. Smart phones benefit them. They help us escape the pressure of life and get informations. However, if we spend too much time on them, we won’t have time to contact face to our friends and family. And our life, study and work will be hurt. In my view, we should limit to our using smart phones except for a purpose of learning. Meanwhile, it’s absolute necessary for us to take part in more outdoor activities.

As you grow rapidly through your teenage yearsyou will experience a lot of changes. The changes may seem difficult and they may seem to happen quickly. Don’t panicYou will deal successfully with themYou are a young adult now!

With more responsibilityyou will find more freedom to make your own choices. This is a time to be well informed about your choices so that you can make healthy balanced decisions that will help shape your future. You may already know your career path or you may have no idea at all what you want to do. Both situations are fineWork hard and the right opportunity will present itself to you.

Young adulthood means greater freedom and more choices. You will probably want to be independent. But try not to shut your family out of your life. You should learn to think of others even though you are old enough to look after yourself. Your family have been with you since you came into this world.

It is also perfectly natural in this time for you to spend more time with your friends than your family. Choose your friends wisely. A true friend will stand by you no matter what happens.

This period is part of the life cycle. There are some people who will be with you throughout life's journey and there will be some people with whom you part and go separate ways. Leaving school can be hard. The reality is that you may not ever see all of your classmates again.

You are a young adult. It is your life. No one can live it for you. The choices that you make from now on will be your choices. So making the right choices will be important to you. Life is for living. Enjoy your life wisely!

According to the US government, wind farms off the Pacific coast could produce 900 gigawatts of electricity every yearUnfortunately, the water there is far too deep for even the tallest windmills to touch bottomAn experiment under way off the coast of Norway, however, could help put them anywhere
The project, called Hywind, is the world’s first large-scale deepwater wind turbine (涡轮发电机)Although it uses a fairly standard 152-ton, 23-megawatt turbine, Hywind represents totally new technologyThe turbine will be fixed 213 feet above the water on a floating spar, a technology Hywind’s creator, the Norwegian company StatoilHydro, has developed recentlyThe steel spar, which is filled with stones and goes 328 feet below the sea surface, will be tied to the ocean floor by three cables ; these will keep the spar stable and prevent the turbine from moving up and down in the wavesHywind’s stability in the cold and rough sea would prove that even the deepest corners of the ocean are suitable for wind powerIf all goes according to the plan, the turbine will start producing electricity six miles off the coast of southwestern Norway as early as September
To produce electricity on a large scale, a commercial wind farm will have to use bigger turbines than Hywind does, but it’s difficult enough to balance such a large turbine so high on a floating spar in the middle of the oceanTo make that turbine heavier, the whole spar’s center of gravity must be moved much closer to the ocean’s surfaceTo do that, the company plans to design a new kind of wind turbine, one whose gearbox (变速箱) sits at sea level rather than behind the blades
Hywind is a test run, but the benefits for perfecting floating wind-farm technology could be extremely largeOut at sea, the wind is often stronger and steadier than close to shore, where all existing offshore windmills are plantedDeep-sea farms are invisible from land, which helps overcome the windmill-as-eyesore objectionIf the technology catches on, it will open up vast areas of the planet’s surface to one of the best low-carbon power sources available
1
The Hywind project uses totally new technology to ensure the stability of_________.
Athe cables which tie the spar to the ocean floor
Bthe spar which is floating in deep-sea water
Cthe blades driven by strong and steady sea wind
Dthe stones filled in the spar below the sea surface
2
To balance a bigger turbine high on a floating spar, a new type of turbine is to be designed with its gearbox sitting_________.
  Aon the sea floor
  Bon the spar top
  Cat sea level
  Dbehind the blades
3
Wide applications of deepwater wind power technology can_________.
Asolve the technical problems of deepwater windmills
Bmake financial profits by producing more turbines
Csettle the arguments about environmental problems
Dexplore low-carbon power resources available at sea

Sandra Bullock turned 51 last month. But because she looks exactly the same as she did in Miss Congeniality,a movie filmed back in the 20th century, everyone calls her”ageless.”Bullock is just one of a number of stars in their 40s and 50s who’ve had birthdays recently but have not gotten older, unlike the rest of us in their age group.Take Halle Berry. One website put a photo of her 20 years ago next to one of the newly 49-year-old Berry and dared us to choose which was which.”This is What 49 Looks Like,”it said.Seriously,if that’s what 49 looks like,I must be 71.

However, even a generation ago, famous face evolved.Look at a picture of Grace Kelly at age 52 in the early 1980s.She look like a beautiful middle-aged woman.Today she’d look old for her age.

The goal now is to prevent aging while you are still young, using all the magical nonsurgical options medicine has to offer.Eventually these techniques will become less expensive, and ordinary people my daughter’s age will have them.Already anti-aging is starting to be considered maintenance, like coloring your hair.My friends and I find ourselves openly debating techniques that we used to make fun of.Does fat-freezing work? How much time do you have to spend in the gym to keep the body of a 35-year-old after 50?It’s all so exhausting. But members of the next generation have it tougher. They’ll have to ask themselves whether they want to spend their youth trying not to get old.I’ve already seen”Sexy at 70”headlines.Will everyone be expected to go to their graves(坟墓)looking hot?

I also have to wonder what else we are slowing along with age.How do you move on if you’re working so hard to stay the same? And besides,if you’ve known the ache of watching a daughter pack up for college, you know you can’t stop the clock.

Our ancestors thought this parting should take place   42  . In many societies adolescents were sent away to live with friends or relatives right after adolescence. This was supposed to   43   the conflicts that come from   44   teenagers and their parents very near.

Eighteen years is not enough. The days pass uncounted, until they   45  . The adjustment is upsetting. My son is on the   46   side --- observant, thoughtful, a practitioner of companionable silence. I know this is hard on him as well. He will be homesick. Among the greatest   47   of college students is they won’t have a room at home to return to.

But with due respect to my son’s feelings, I have the   48   of parting. I know something he doesn’t --- incomprehensible to the young. He is experiencing the   49   that come with beginnings. His life is starting for real. I have begun the long letting go. Put another way: He has a wonderful future in which my part   50   decreases.

I’m sure my father realized it at a(n)   51   moment. And I certainly didn’t notice or understand. At first, he was a giant who held my hand and   52    my sky. Then a middle-aged man who paid my bills. Now, decades after his passing, a much-loved   53  . But I can remember the last time I hugged him in his home, where I always had a room. I can only hope to leave my son the same.

My son, those days have been the greatest wonder and   54   of my life. And there will always be a   55   for you.

Some people will do just about anything to save money. And I am one of them. Take my familys last vacation. It was my six-year-old sons winter break from school, and we were heading home from Fort Lauderdale after a weeklong trip. The flight was overbooked, and Delta, the airline, offered us $400 per person in credits to give up our seats and leave the next day. I had meetings in New York, so I had to get back. But that didnt mean my husband and my son couldnt stay. I took my nine-month-old and took off for home.

The next day, my husband and son were offered more credits to take an even later flight. Yes, I encouragedokay, orderedthem to wait it out at the airport toearnmore Delta Dollars. Our total take:$1, 600. Not bad, huh?

Now some people may think Im a bad mother and not such a great wife either. But as a big-time bargain hunter, I know the value of a dollar. And these days, a good deal is something few of us can afford to pass up.

Ive made a living looking for the best deals and exposing(揭露)the worst tricks. I have been the consumer reporter of NBCs Today show for over a decade. I have written a couple of books including one titled Tricks of the Trade:A Consumer Survival Guide. And I really do what I believe in.

I tell you this because there is no shame in getting your moneys worth. Im also tightfisted when it comes to shoes, clothes for my children, and expensive restaurants. But I wouldnt hesitate to spend on a good haircut. It keeps its shape longer, and its the first thing people notice. And I will also spend on a classic piece of furniture. Quality lasts.
