    Cathy, Judy, Bella and Ellen are four good friends in Maryland, the USA. They go to the same school and always stay together. However, they are going to spend this summer holiday in different places. Ellen is going to visit her grandparents in Greece. Judy plans to stay at home and work in an ice-cream shop. Bella will (将) go to a football club in Mexico, and Cathy has  to visit her uncle in South California. Before leaving (离开), the four girls go shopping  together, and  they find a nice pair of jeans in a shop.     Are you carrying too much on your back to school? I'm sure lots of children of your age will say "yes". Not only the students in China have this problem, but also children in the USA have heavy schoolbags.

    Doctors worry that children are having back and neck problems because their schoolbags are too heavy for them. "It's hard for me to go upstairs with my bag because it's so heavy!" said Rick  an 11-year-old student in the USA.

    But how much is too much? Doctors say students should carry no more than 15% of their own body weight. Scott Bautch, a back doctor, says children under Grade 4 hould stay within 10 %. But it is also important that other children don't stay with over 15%, because their bodies are still growing. Parents and teachers are starting to tell children to only take home the books they will read that night. Some teachers are using pieces of paper or thin workbooks instead of thick ones.

    One of the best way to solve the problem is, as some children said, to have not homework at all!
