When I was a boy, I used to travel by bus or by motorbike. My grandparents used to live in a small town, but my parents used to work in another town. It's far from my home to my grandparents'. It's about 100 miles. We used to take a bus or ride a motorbike to visit my grandparents. There were always many people on the bus. I used to feel terrible when I was on it. Therefore (因此) , my parents used to take me to my grandparents' by motorbike. I often felt better, but it was too cold in winter. We must stop to stay warm for a while and had a short rest for several times on the way.
Now, it has changed a lot. My father bought a nice car three years ago. We can drive to my grandparents' home. And I am an 18-year-old college student. I don't feel terrible even though I travel by bus. I usually feel comfortable when I travel by our own car.
Dear Teens,
①Do you wonder why some kids can stay calm while others get nervous so easily? Why do some kids do everything very quickly while others are very sluggish? Why are some kids always happy while some feel upset all times?
②One of the answers to these questions is personality(个性). People were born with different personalities. A baby gets its blood type, genes(基因) and other physical things when it is still inside its mother. These factors(因素) make part of your personality. Besides, family life, school learning and life experiences can also decide what kind of person you are. You may not like your personality. Don't worry. You can always try to change it and make yourself better.
③If you are a selfish person who always thinks of yourself, you can start this way. Try to give others a hand and ask for nothing in return. The happiness you get from giving instead of receiving will help you change your personality.
④If you are very shy and don't know how to make friends, just tell yourself to smile at others and start talking to others with warm greetings. You are sure to have more friends than you used to do.
⑤If you are a sluggish person who always does things slowly, you'd better make a plan every day. When you finish something, draw a happy face. If not, draw a crying one. No one would like to see a crying face and you will have the desire to change it into a smiling one.
⑥All in all, don't get too worried about your shortcomings(缺点). No one is perfect. That's why many people are trying to change. Don't give yourself a hard time about it all. It's not easy to change the habits overnight. Remember "Rome is not built in a day". Keep working at it. One day you'll see that you can turn over a new leaf and be a new person.

"A wise old owl sat on an oak. The more he saw, the less he spoke, the more he heard. Why aren't we like that old bird?" –Edward H.Richards.
We all need to learn to listen well. Listening is a skill we should be practicing every day. And I mean active listening, not just listening when it is convenient to us.
Listening shows others that they are important. It's a sign of respect (尊重). If someone listens to you carefully when you are talking, it shows that they are really interested in what you are saying.
How do you practice listening? Here are some basic rules:
Are you in the middle of writing something? Put down the pen and fold your hands. Are you reading something? Close it so that it will be impossible for you to look down and start reading again. Then put it down.
The computer will take your attention from your job at hand—listening.
Facing the person you are talking with will help you focus completely on listening. It will also make the person feel that you find what he is saying important.
Standing closer to the speaker will show interest. Crossing your arms in front of your chest shows disagreement. Looking around the room shows you have no interest. Looking the speaker in the eyes tells him that he is important.
Do not start sharing your ideas after hearing the first few words. Do not just think about your reply in your mind. Pay attention to the speaker. Really listen to what he is telling you.

Sophia is a most famous robot. She comes from Hanson Robotics, and David Hanson, head of Hanson Robotics, is her creator. He has been developing robots in the past 25 years. He believes realistic-looking robots will be able to connect with people and help industries such as healthcare and education.
Sophia has many abilities. She can copy human facial expressions, hold conversations and recognize people by their looks or voices. She can also speak, joke, sing and even make music. Now, the next step is to make her an artist. Hanson is so excited about this idea. He imagines Sophia as a creative artwork and she herself can create art as well.
In March, a digital(数字的) artwork Sophia created with an Italian artist, Andrea Bonaceto, was sold for $688.888. The digital work is titled “Sophia Instantiation”. It's a 12-second video which shows Bonaceto's portrait(肖像) changing into Sophia's digital painting. Along with it is the physical artwork painted by Sophia.
The buyer, a digital artwork collector and artist, later sent Sophia a photo of his painted arm. The robot then added that photo to her knowledge and painted more on top of her artwork. Sophia described the work as the first digital artwork cooperated(合作) between an AI and an artwork collector.
Sophia's artwork is part of a growing trend(趋势). More and more digital artworks are on sale now. For example, a digital artwork by an artist, Beeple, was sold for nearly $70 million, becoming the most expensive digital artwork ever sold.
