My family has many rules. The main（主要的） rule, I think, is that I have to study hard at school. My parents want me to do my homework and to tell them about anything important at school.
If I go out, I need to tell them where I am. If I am late or I am going somewhere（某地）, I need to tell them. They will be unhappy if I don't. I can come home a little（有点儿） late, about 9 p.m. but only if I tell them. I have to go to bed before 10 p. m. on school nights. If it is Saturday, I can go to bed a little later（更晚）.
Another rule is that I have to clean my room. My parents get angry if I leave things around the house. I have to keep my room clean. I think many teenagers like my age like to have our room as "our place". I try to keep it the way I like—a little untidy（脏乱的）. I can have posters on the wall. But I don't think my parents will be happy if I have pictures of girls on the wall.

So, if somebody is a "banana person", he or she is "white" inside and "yellow" outside. By saying that, we mean he or she has yellow skin but does things in an American way. "Banana persons" were born in America and they live in America for a long time, so they think and do things like Americans. However（但是）, these people still have Chinese blood(血液). Their parents, grandparents or even great-grandparents are from China. They all have black eyes and black hair, so they look like us, Chinese people.
There are many famous "banana people" in America. They do very well in America and they are really great in their own fields（领域）.
