Do you have difficulty growing grass because of salty air or soil conditions? Do you require a grass that will stand up to heavy traffic? Do you need a grass that will survive up to one degree below zero? Do you want to reduce the number of times you cut your grass each month? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, and the area to be planted receives at least 2-3 hours of direct sunlight a day, Amazoy zoysia is right for you.
Zoysia is a particularly tough grass that grows well in a wide variety of conditions. It was brought to the United States by Frank Meyer, a famous plant explorer who discovered zoysia along the Yalu River in 1906. There’s another important man we have to mention here. Herbert Friedberg, founder of Zoysia Farm Nurseries, was the first businessman to recognize zoysia’s potential to improve America’s lawns (草坪). Today, Zoysia Farm Nurseries is the oldest, continuously operating company to sell zoysia grass plugs (草皮) by mail.
Zoysia is the perfect choice for hard-to-cover spots and hilly areas. Zoysia lawns only need to be cut once or twice a season. Watering is rarely, if ever, needed — even in summer! Besides, you’ll never have to use poisonous pesticides (杀虫剂) and weed killers again! Zoysia lawns are safer for family and pets! When ordinary lawns brown up in summer heat and drought, your zoysia lawn stays green and beautiful. Zoysia grows well in extreme heat (49°C), yet it won’t winter-kill to one degree below zero.
The more Amazoy zoysia plugs you order, the more you save! We will replace any plug that fails to grow in 45 days absolutely free!

In New York, students at 18 schools participate in a program called We Future Cycle. Started by Anna Giordano in 2014, it teaches kids to recycle, compost (制成堆肥),and reduce food waste.
Lunch areas at the participating schools are equipped with three clearly marked bins-compost, recycle and share. While the first two are common in schools, the third is rare, where kids can put their unwanted drinks, fruits, and even untouched sandwiches. Items in the container are available for any student that wants them. Whatever remains at the end of the day is donated to the food bank. Giordano says the three bins have helped reduce the nun of trash bags from an average of 22 to just 2!
To ensure kids adopt similar habits at home, the non-profit has created extensive curriculum to educate families about the importance of sorting waste into the proper streams of recycling, composting, trash and food t0 donate- They also urge parents have convcrsations with their kids about food choices.
But, as we're all aware, kids aren't only ones that Waste food-adults are epually bad ,if not worse! To prevent that, Josh Treuhaft founded Salvage Supperclub in 2014. The occasionally organized dinners promise people a tasty multi-coursc meal for a mere 550 USD perperson . It is also a plan to save waste because the delicious food is made from vegetables that are past their prime and, therefore, headed for the trash bin.
The other catch? Customers have to eat their meals inside a dumpster(大型垃圾装卸车)! The place, of course, is totally clean. It is iust a symbolic gesture. In addition to helping people rethink their actions, Treuhaft also helps them to do good by donating part of the profits to non-profits devoted to fighting against food waste.

Companionship of Books
A man may usually be known by the books he reads as well as by the company he keeps
; for there is a companionship of books as well as of men; and one should always live in the best company, whether it be of books or of men.
_9_____ It is the same today that it always was, and it will never change. It is the most pati
ent and cheerful of companions. It does not turn its back upon us in times of adversity or distress. It always receives us with the same kindness; amusing and instructing us in youth, and comforting and consoling(安慰) us in age.
Men often discover their affinity(吸引力) to each other by the mutual love they have for a book just as two persons sometimes discover a friend by the admiration which both entertain for a third. 10_____But there is more wisdom in this:” Love me, love my book.” The book is a truer and hig
her bond of union. Men can think, feel, and sympathize with each other through their favorite author. They live in him together, and he in them.
A good book is often the best urn(缸,翁) of a life enshrining(供奉) the best that life could think out; for the world of a man’s life is, for the most part, but the world of his thoughts._11_____ They become our constant companions and comforters.
12_______And they bring us into the presence of the greatest minds that have ever lived. We hear what they said and did; we see them as if they were really alive; we sympathize with them, enjoy with them, grieve with them; their experience becomes ours, and we feel as if we were in a measure actors with them in the scenes which they describe.
The great and good do not die, even in this world. Embalmed(铭记于) in books, their spirits walk abroad. _13______ It is an intellect(智者) to which one still listens.
A. There is an old saying,“ love me ,love my dog”.

Habits Of Highly Successful Students
Never Over-Study
When you spend too much time studying you will quickly lose focus and the time spent in studying will become ‘junk time’. You think you're studying but you're just sitting there re-reading the same sentence about 100 times and you're not getting anywhere. Instead, take regular breaks. 16 Besides, it will give your mind some time to take in what you have been doing.
17
Top students don't just randomly sit down and complete work. They actually plan what they are going to do: They actually plan the time they will study and they set goals for what will be achieved. If you want to be successful, do as successful people do. Set a plan and, set a goal and stick to it, which will create a routine and a routine is the first step towards developing a habit. 18
Front Up To The Toughest Work First
Many of us like to do the easy things first to build our confidence. That’s fair enough. The only challenge with this approach is that you use up your primary energy at the start of any study period and so if you are dealing with the easy parts with your primary energy your batteries will be low when it comes the time to deal with the hard part. So what happens then? 19 We all do it. We really shouldn't, though. So develop the habit of giving your primary energy to the hard tasks and completing the easy stuff last.
20
Do we really have to explain this? Just turn them off for an hour, we promise the world will still be there when you log back in! Don't text your friends, don't chat while doing memory activities, don't make phone calls, just focus on what you're doing. Even if you focus on work' for 15 minutes followed by 5 mins of chatting, it’s better than 30 minutes of work while also chatting! You get that right?
A. Plan Your Study
B. Achieve Your Goal
C. Positive habits decide future success.
D. Taking breaks can make you get everywhere.
E. You get tired and impatient and just give up.
F. Get Off Social Networking Sites And Turn Off The Phone
G. Taking breaks will make you energetic again and refresh your mind.
I know I’m not perfect. But I think there is a(n) 41 side of my own weaknesses and faults, for they seem to bring joy to others.
Or maybe it’s just that I underestimate the importance of my own 42 . I might be the man who was driving a car with a(n) 43 that read, “Hang up and drive.” A police officer was 44 to see the sign, as she had witnessed too many 45 caused by motorists talking on cell phones. Wanting to show her agreement to the driver, she pulled up alongside the car. But she was 46 to see the car driver shaving.
Maybe it is just 47 to tell the weaknesses in others. It’s like the camel. An African proverb states, “The camel 48 sees its own hump(驼峰), but that of its brother is always before its 49 ” I probably don’t see my own humps very 50 .
So I can 51 the story of an elderly couple who, while on a car trip, stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. The woman left her 52 on the table. Her husband 53 all the way back to the restaurant about her 54 leaving her glasses behind. They eventually arrived, and the woman got out of the car to get her eye glasses, the old man said, “ 55 you’re there, you may as well get my hat, too”.
Everything that annoys us about others can lead us to a(n) 56 of ourselves. The humps we can’t help but seeing in others are 57 like the humps others see in us. Or, perhaps they are like the humps we see in ourselves.
So, what would happen if we’d 58 other people’s faults and humps as a gift? After all, they’re 59 us about ourselves. And that’s what makes us 60 from camels and we can make some changes.

Every time I tried my best work out a math problem and I was afraid of making mistakes, which really made me feel helpless. Unluckily, I met a nice math teacher in a second year. She told me that I did need to worry about making mistakes because I could find out my shortcomings through my mistakes. She always encouraged myself to try again whenever I make a mistake. Thanks to my teacher encouragement, I became interested in math and made rapid progress. My experience proves that failure was the mother of success and that we can learn a lot from our mistakes.
