Eddie often to his friend, Alice.
Sally White was a very kind teacher. She worked in a primary school (小学). Her home was not far (远) from her school, and she always walked there every morning. All the students in her class were very young. They all liked Miss White. One day, Miss White walked to school on a very cold and windy morning. The cold wind went into her eyes, and some big tears (泪水) began running out of her eyes. She got to the school, opened the door and went into the classroom. It was nice and warm in the classroom and she was happy. Suddenly, a little boy stood up and looked at her for a moment. Then the little boy went out of his seat and came to Miss White. He put his arms round her and said kindly, "Don't cry, Miss White, school isn't very bad."
Alice doesn't feel well for several days. She goes to the doctor on Friday. The doctor examines (检查) her carefully, then he says, “Do you eat regularly (有规律的) every day?”
“Sure! I have good eating habits!”
“Then what do you usually eat for your three meals every day?”
“I have an apple for breakfast and sometimes a piece of bread. For lunch, I usually have hamburgers, meat and orange juice. I know dinner is very important, so I have a big dinner every day! I always have fish, vegetables, eggs, sausages, cheese, chicken soup, rice and cake. Sometimes I eat ice cream and puddings. I like my dinner.”
The doctor smiles and says, “I'm afraid you are not right, madam. Dinner is important, but you shouldn't eat too much. You must eat less in the evening. And your breakfast is really not good enough. In fact, breakfast is the most important meal! We need it most! We don't need anything when we're sleeping and we need to start a day's work, so please have a nice breakfast!”
“What should I eat then?”
“You must drink some milk every morning. You may choose eggs, bread, sandwiches, noodles, vegetables and fruit. I think you'll get better soon.”
