As a first grader, the last thing on Kylie' s mind was to be an inventor (发明家) . When she made a board game (棋类游戏) about Ladybug (瓢虫) for her science class, the student from Pleasanton, California, thought it would just make her homework fun. Now her board game the Ladybug Game goes into many stores in America. Kylie is happy to talk to WR News about her invention.

WR: How did you get the idea for the Ladybug Game?

K: I just did it for Mrs. Ditto's science class. We had to make something to tell our classmates about insects (昆虫). I really like board games and I play them a lot. So I made a board game myself.

WR: Why ladybugs?

K: I like their colors. Ladybugs come in many different colors. And I think they have a cool life cycle (生命周期).

WR: Your dad took your game to a friend and the friend helped more people know it. How did you feel when you heard that going to sell your board game?

K: It was really cool. When I got into some stores sometimes the people said "You're the girl on the box!"

WR： Do you think you will invent some other things someday?

K: I don't know, but I'm sure that it will be fun.

    We use our smartphones to carry out many tasks every day. Many of us have become so reliant on them. However, it is bad for our eyes and health to use phones for a long time.

    A study shows that smartphone owners usually start to use their phones early in the morning. They check personal e-mails and WeChat. And before they get out of bed, many people often check the weather, read the news and send messages to friends. After getting up, they often take photos of food, themselves and even whatever they can see with their phones. They share their photos with their friends. The research finds that users pick up their phones more than 1,500 times to do different tasks in an average(平常的) week. And they use their phones for three hours and sixteen minutes a day. That is to say, people use their phones for almost one full day each week.

    Using phones too much will take much time and it's also bad for our health. Many people stay up late to play games or chat with others on their phones, which will influence their sleep. Without using the phones, many people will feel sad. Many owners also find they use their phones without realizing they're doing so.

    Do you think people use their phones too much?

I found it difficult to what happened.

    When I was in the middle school, I was good at many subjects  (除了) English. It was a little difficult for me and I often made  (错误) in the test. I felt very sad.

    Luckily, my English teacher Miss Li was （相当地）kind. She advised me to buy a dictionary and (提议，提出) to help me solve  (主要的，基础的) problems. Miss Li said that I (应该) speak English aloud and read (大量，众多) of English books. With her help, my English improved (迅速地,快地). It was much  (更简单) for me to remember the words than before. And I became one of the actresses in the school English show at (终于，最后).

    I was thankful to my dear English teacher, Miss Li.

Many years ago, I worked in an office with a very large window over looking a crowded street.  One day I was standing by the window  1a woman in a passing car looked up.  Our 2met.  Naturally, I waved to her.

She looked 3and tried to find out if we knew each other. It was the unexpected beginning of a year's window communication. Every day in my free time, I 4by the window and waved to the passers-by who looked up.  The same group of people in a bus passed by 4 p. m. every day.  They 5waved back and became my biggest fans.

Waving became boring, so I 6my way.  I made signs: "Hi!" "Hell!" "Be happy!" I put them upon the window and waved.

My wife and I were looking forward to 7first child.  I 8the whole world to know.  Less than a month before the birth, I put up a 9on the window: "25 DAYS TILL BABY DAY".  Each day the number dropped and the passing people grew a little more 10.

When the 11reached "zero" without a notice, my fans looked worried.  14 days later, I12the sign "IT'S A GIRL".  Then the bus stopped 13in front of my window with the sign "CONGRATULATIONS!" My daughter had been born 14 days late. Those people must have carried that sign14reeks.

How exciting it was!

Since then, Fve tried to put a smile on someone's face day. Some may think I am stupid, but I know there is a 15 to do good things.  I am bringing happiness to someone.

    In the universe, as we know, there is the sun, the moon, the earth and a good many stars. Through our geography lessons, we know the earth goes round the sun, and the moon goes round the earth. We have day and night because the earth keeps turning all the time. When our part of the earth turns to the sun, it is day. When our part of the earth turns away from the sun, it is night.

    Just because the moon is closer to the earth than the sun, it looks much bigger than the sun. Big things will look smaller when they are farther, and small things also look bigger when they are nearer.

    The sun is bright enough to give out very strong light. The moon can't give any light at all, but it looks quite bright, too. Why? In fact, the light from the moon comes from the sun. The moon looks much bigger and brighter than the stars. But actually（事实上）the stars are much bigger and brighter than the moon. They look smaller than the moon also because they are farther away from the earth.

    There are still many other planets in the universe.

    But of all these planets, only on the earth there are living things and people can only live on the earth, too. But at 9：00 am on October 15th, 2003, Chinese pilot Yang Liwei was sent up to space. He stayed there for 21 hours. It was the first time for Chinese to get into space.
