The girl said that she went to sleep that night with  53  , and woke up to be told by her sister, “Emma, please keep  54  .Mum’s dead.”

I was so  55  by this girl’s story. She lost her mother at such a young age, but she made up her mind to be strong. With such a big weight of the world on her  56  , she looked  57  and optimistic. She did not shed() a(n)  58  when telling us her story. Strength is something that can  59  pain at the worst time. She lives every day of her life to the fullest,  60  with a heavy heart.

Your weight has been important since the moment you were born. Maybe you even know what your birth weight was. Most newborns weigh between 6 and 9 pounds, but some may weigh more and some less. But very quickly, a baby gains weight and everyone is glad about that because it means the child is growing bigger and stronger.

As you get older, your weight is still important. It's something your parents and doctor will probably keep an eye on. When you go for a checkup, the doctor often will record your height and weight and compare it with what it was the last time you came in. The doctor wants to check whether you have a healthy weight because weighing too much or too little can be a problem.

But these days, being overweight is more common than being underweight. In the last 30 years, a growing number of kids and teenagers have developed weight problems. Today, 1 out of 3 kids and teens between the ages of 2 and 19 are overweight. Many grown-ups understand what it's like to have weight problems, since 2 out of every 3 adults (成年人) are overweight..wfsqzkss.

For kids and adults, weighing too much can lead to illnesses and health problems. And a kid who is overweight might be made jokes on or find it hard to keep up with friends on the playground. When people talk about being overweight, they mean that someone has more body fat than is healthy. Everyone has some body fat, but extra (多余的) fat can influence someone's health and ability to walk, run, and get around, as well as how the person looks and his or her self-respect.

There are all sorts of good sensible reasons to avoid getting angry. Not only does it make us feel bad, it also makes us do stupid things without noticing the risks and it can be self-destructive( 毁坏性的).    36    But like all emotions, anger has its purposes, which can be used for good effects.

Anger is a motivating force.

In fact anger itself is a kind of positive energy and a powerful motivating force.

37    When we see something as beneficial, we want it more when we are angry. So, when used right, constructive anger can make us feel strong and powerful and help push us on to get what we want.

   38

It may sound like a strange thing to say, but angry people have something in common with happy people. That's because both tend to expect favorable results. By comparison those experiencing more fear are more pessimistic(悲观的) about the future and expect further terrors.

Anger can benefit relationships.

Society tells us anger is dangerous and we should hide it .The problem is that when we hide our anger, our partner doesn't know he's done something wrong. And so he keeps doing it.    39    The expression of anger, if reasonable and aimed at finding a solution, can actually benefit and strengthen relationships.

Anger provides self-understanding.

Anger can also provide understanding into ourselves, if we allow it. Getting angry leads to a positive outcome. Anger help discover our own faults. If we can notice when we get angry and why, then we can learn what to do to improve our lives.    40

AAnd that doesn't do our relationship any good.

BAnger can turn us on and thus push on towards our goals in the face of problems and barriers.

CAnger reduces violence.

DAngry people are more optimistic.

EMost of us treat our anger as though it's unreasonable, unshowable and unmentionable.

FThat's because it's a very strong social signal that a situation needs to be solved.

GAnger can encourage self-change.

Life affects friendships. As we grow, marry, fight in wars, move across the country or change jobs, old friendships fall away and new ones form. As long as we live, the things around us change, and as long as things change, friendships are affected.

When we were children, we had best friends. No matter what happened we were still friends. We live our lives, however, and do what life calls for us to do, and as we get older, memories fade, faces blur (变得模糊), and even friends’ names from childhood are forgotten.

Do you have a question about friendship? Do you wonder what to do with a friend who is no longer friendly? Perhaps you will see that you can’t control others. If someone wants to be your friend, it is their choice. All you can do is treat them well and do the best for them when you are with them. Then you wish them well when they leave.

You can talk to old timers and they will tell you that life is full of incredible (令人难以置信的) joy and incredible sorrow, and that what bothers you today will one day becomes a memory and the pain will be gone.
