I love singing. Everyone says I sing (beautiful), and I really want to be a star. Are there  good ways to become a star? I'm only 14.

In fact, you have lots of time to be a star. Spend more time (practice) singing, and you will sing better and better.

It's a good idea to use the Internet to show your talents. For example, you can (prepare) for a video of your singing, and then put it online. If you are really (talent), someone will find out that. Because lots of people  (become) stars that way in the past. You can try out for talent show  Chinese Idol. And you can also join in a singing (compete). Remember to always show (good) of yourself to others.

You can also try to play roles in TV shows. Some kid networks are looking for the next child stars. These stars can become singers,(actor) or hosts.

Most of us have heard about the tragic plane crash of Germanwings Flight 9525. After taking off from Barcelona, Spain, the plane crashed into the French mountains on its way to Dusseldorf, Germany. Immediately, it caused shock and also questions. How do people find out what happened?

There is one piece of equipment that is the key to finding the mysteries of a crash: the black box. It is a fight recorder that monitors fight data and audio. On an airplane, there are actually two black boxes: the flight data recorder(FDR), which holds information, such as altitude levels; the other box is the cockpit(驾驶员座舱) voice recorder(CVR), which records conversations in the cockpit, as well as radio conversations with air traffic control. Both can be viewed as a narrator(解说员) of the whole flight.

Black boxes are important for people to find out the cause of accidents. Usually they are bright orange so that rescuers can easily find them. Since they play such an important role, they need to be very strong.

Australia was the first country to require airplanes to have flight recorders in 1967. Since then, almost every country on the Earth follows this rule.

So what did the black boxes tell us about Germanwings Flight 9525? By studying their data, it is believed that the crash was caused by the co-pilot on purpose.

In the event of a tragedy, the truth must become clear. This is why black boxes play such an important role in finding out the truth.

Budapest    The population of Budapest is about three million and the city is a very popular place for tourists. Visitors like to take boat rides along the Danube(多瑙河). Budapest is also known for its exciting nightlife. The best time to visit Budapest is summer since it is very cold in winter.

King's College Summer School is an annual (每年的) training programme for all the middle school students who want to improve their English. Courses are given by the teachers of King's College and other colleges in New York. Trips to museums and culture centres are also organized.

Lin Hua likes watching cartoons. And he wants to paint cartoon characters on his face and arms.

Sun Jian always likes doing surprising things, though they are dangerous sometimes.

Zhang Ning is good at magic and he wants to be a magician when he grows up.

Wang Li likes to wear the clothes of cartoon characters. And she can give different shows indifferent clothes.

Dong Ming is talented in singing. He can sing in three different languages.

Anhui Provincial Hospital

Once, there were two women who lived in the same village. They grew the same plants in their own gardens. One woman called Lisa was hard-working and took care of her plants every day. The other woman, named Rebecca, didn't do too much. She just let her plants grow however they wanted.

One evening, there was a heavy rain. It destroyed (毁坏) many of the plants.

The next morning, when Lisa woke up, she found that all of her plants fell down because of the rain. However, when she got to Rebecca's garden, she saw that all of the plants were still standing in the garden. Rebecca's plants lived through the rain!

How did this happen? The plants of the relaxed woman learned to do things on their own from the very beginning. They grew deeper roots (根) and made places for themselves in the soil (土壤). They could stand up strong on their own, even in a heavy rain. But since Lisa did everything for her plants, they never learned to live through any difficulties.

It is the same for us. One day, you'll have to let go and become independent. If you just let others do everything for you, you'll never learn to do things by yourself.
