Many people are looking for a pet that is a little more interesting than a cat or a dog. If you have a lot of space and are happy to find out how to look after it, a green iguana(蜥蜴) can make a great pet. We spoke to Dr. Troy Wilson, a specialist in lizards, about how to look after an iguana.
The first question is, what should it live in?
Dr. Wilson: The green iguana can grow to be about 2 meters long, so you are going to need a big space to keep it in. Start with a small glass tank for a baby iguana, then when it is bigger, you can move it into a larger cage.
Do they need water?
Dr. Wilson: Yes. Iguanas need water to drink and sit in. In the wild they always live near water and they are good swimmers. They need a water dish or small pond that is big enough for them to sit in.
What do they eat?
Dr. Wilson: They eat mostly raw vegetables and some fruit. You can feed your iguana fresh vegetables every day and some fruit once a week. Iguanas cannot chew their food so you should cut it into the right size. They swallow food in one piece.
Are they fun?
Dr. Wilson: An Iguana is a clever, friendly animal. It will learn who you are and can even be quite affectionate. (深情的)

John: Do you think so?
Mr Huang: Yes, of course. OK. Forget it. How much is the handbag?
John: Look here! It's 98 dollars.
Mr Huang: No, no. It's too expensive. How much is the chocolate?
John: Let me have a look. It's 2 dollars 99 cents.
Mr Huang: For a big box of chocolate? That's cheap. OK. I'll take 4 boxes of chocolate.

I am a doctor. People often come to see me because they have colds or coughs. People also come to see me because they are sad or nervous. Sometimeshelps. Sometimes talking helps. But many doctorsthat music can help people feel better. I asked a few of my patients how music helped them.
Sometimes I waswhen I was a child. My family said, "Play your feelings on the piano!" Sometimes I play a loud song on the piano. Soon I feel calm. I can laugh and cry through myon the piano. It's natural for me. It's like breathing.
"Listening to music helps me feel.I like to listen to music and dance when I clean my house."
"I play the violin. I like playing at night when it is quiet. After playing I am tired and I am happy. I always sleep better after playing my violin."
Are you a musician?Good!Keep playing. If you are not a musician, listen to music and sing or dance. It's good medicine.
Each of us makes mistakes from time to time. In fact, we can get a lot from our mistakes.
Donnie was a shy student and never answered questions in class. He was1to make mistakes. He never finished his homework s:2he didn't want to make any mistakes. Nothing changed until Marry Anne, a teacher, came to our class.
One morning, Marry Anne asked Donnie to ask some questions. After a while Donnie was in tears because he made a mistake.3Marry Anne got a box full of erasers from the desk.
"Look, Donnie," she said standing4him. "I've got something to show you." She took out the erasers, one at a time, and put them on the desk.
"See these erasers, Donnie?" she continued," Do you know5the erasers become smaller and smaller? That's because we make mistakes. But we erase the mistakes and try 6. That's what you must learn."
"Here," she said," I'll leave one eraser on your desk, so you will remember that everybody may make mistakes." Donnie looked at Marry Anne and smiled.
Donnie changed a lot from then on. He knew that everyone had the permission to make mistakes as long as you learned them and tried again.
I would like to live in the city.
There are wonderful things about living in the city. There are some sidewalks:人行道:, so I won't get hwhen I go across the street. II'm hungry, I don't have to wait because the restaurants are very n. The libraries are so good. I love to go there to read with my friends. In the afternoon I like to go to the park to take a walk. The air is fresh and many children play there. There are also lots of stores. They sell many kof things in the city. I can go and have fun there.
There are bad things about a city too. There is too much noise from all the cars and buses. It's too noisy. And the traffic is heavy in the city. Sometimes it tme too much time to get to school and makes me late. There are also too many people in the city and shopping centres are always c.
Although(尽管)there are bad things about living in the modern city, I still pto live there.
