Everyone has dreams. Lily dreamed of being a dancer. She took 1 lessons and all her teachers thought she was an excellent student.
One day she saw a notice. It said that a famous dancing group would be performing in her town. 2thought," I must show the leader my dancing skills." She waited for the group leader in the dressing room.3the leader appeared, she came up and handed him the flowers she prepared. The thorns (刺) hurt her fingers andblood came out. Michael is a part -time student that works late nights as a warehouse(仓库) manager. He gets home around 2:00 every night, and goes straight to bed to get as much sleep as possible until his classes start at 10:00 a. m. However, for the past week, Michael has had a new "alarm clock" that he unfortunately doesn't like. It is an energetic and loud mockingbird(模仿鸟) that has decided to make the tree outside of Michael's window his new home.
Each morning, the bird begins singing as loudly as possible at exactly 5:55 a. m. and does not stop until late into the night. Most city birds begin the day with sweet, gentle chirps (鸟叫声) that can hardly even be heard indoors , but the sounds of mockingbirds are very clear and are made up of various noises that the mockingbird hem's and then imitates(模仿), including chirps from other birds, or even car alarms and school bells.
After one week of losing sleep as a result of the bird noise, Michael decided to do something. "Go away," he shouted out of his window. When that didn't work, he started throwing things at the tree to try to scare the bird away. This only makes the bird get even louder! Finally, Michael phoned his local Animal Control and requested to get someone to remove the bird from the area. But they said they couldn't do it. The birds were protected by laws and the workers in Animal Control asked him just to enjoy the sound of nature. After hearing this, Michael had nothing to say.
