There are a lot of things you can do to help in your community, whether with your mom's chores, or if a friend is upset. Here are some little things you can do to give a helping hand.

The Ministry of Education wants students to practice their sports skill. It wants to make homework for physical education classes. It also wants to cut down homework for math and language.

Physical education helps improve children's health in a big way. There was a survey in 2019. It said that as high as 53. 6% of primary and secondary school students were shortsighted(近视的), and 81% among high school students. More physical activities helped with eyesight problems in children. The survey also said 15. 7 of Grade 1 students had eyesight problems. But in Grade 6, it was 59%. Those six years were important for helping with their eyesight.

40 minutes of outdoor activities every day helps a lot. It can help students to relax their eyes. It can also help their bodies to have vitamin D. For preschool children, they'd better have outdoor sports activities every day. For those aged between 7 and 12, they'd better exercise for at least an hour everyday. After outdoor activities, children can have a sound sleep. This will help their bodies grow faster.

When I was a junior high school student in 1980, God gave me a gift, it was happiness.

One weekend, I went to visit my grandparents in the countryside. On my way home a car ran over me and cut off my arms because it rushed so fast. Several days later when I woke up at the hospital, I realized I had to spend the rest of my life without arms. How sad I felt at that time! Even I was full of fears, but slowly I knew I had to face the fact and get it over. I couldn't get my arms back even though I cried every day.

However, it's easier saying than doing. It took me nearly half a year to get out of the sadness completely. I got so much from my past story.

From then on, I could treat my life with a normal mind. But in our daily life, I often see my classmates get worried about little things: They get a bad grade on a test; their bus comes late; they don't have a mobile phone, but others have, and so on. But I only enjoy life. I was lucky to realize from an accident. It is not a good idea to keep thinking about what you don't have. We should always think of what we have. So why are so many people unhappy? Someone may say, "My whole life would improve if I have a new car. " But when you get the new car and what happens? For a whole week you are walking on air. Then you go right back to being unhappy.

Happiness depends on what we have. It's in our heart. It's a state of mind. Even though you own the whole world, you may still feel unhappy. Happiness comes from mastering the art of appreciating(感激)and taking pleasure in what you really have.

Once a very rich man and his son collected valuable paintings by famous artists like Picasso, Van Gogh and Monet.

Later, the son left to join the army. After a few weeks, the old man received a letter saying his son had died while taking another soldier to a hospital. The old man became very lonely and sad.

One day, a soldier visited the old man and gave him a painting it was a portrait of his son. The painting of his son became the old man's most valuable item. He told his neighbors it was the greatest gift he had ever received. The following spring, the old man died.

All of the old man's paintings would be sold at an auction(拍卖会). The auction began with the painting of the old man's son.

"Who will open the price at$100?" the auctioneer(拍卖商)asked.

Moments passed and no one spoke or raised their hands. Someone said: "Who cares about that painting? Let's get on to the good ones." More voices followed in agreement. "No, we must sell this one first," replied the auctioneer. "Now, who will take the portrait of the son?"

Finally, a good friend of the old man spoke, "Ten dollars!" "Will anyone go higher?" called the auctioneer. After more silence he said, "Going once. Going twice…Sold!" The auctioneer then announced that the whole auction was over. "According to the old man's will(遗嘱), who ever takes the son's photo gets the whole collection, " the auctioneer said.

Because of the father's love, whoever took the son got it all.

Parents always tell you that the school days are the happiest in your life. I'm sure you would disagree and wonder if they were ever teenagers. .

You think you are old enough to make your own decisions, but your parents don't think so. If you don't do as your parents say, you will have a hard time. . These arguments(争论), although they are stressful, are necessary for you.

You spend most of your time at school, so you might have worries about all your homework. .  But what if you don't get good grades in the exams? What if you like sports or music? Your parents might want you to go to university so they will want you to do nothing but study. .

And you want to look good, so you'll spend hours getting ready for a party, but your parents don't like your clothes. .
