    It is important for each child to get enough sleep every day. Here. we'll learn more about that.

    It usually depends on(取决于) their age. Newborns of o to 3 months should sleep for about 18 hours a day. Babies of 4 to 11 months should start to sleep through the night, for 9 to 12 hours at a time. Children of 3 to 5 years should get 11 to 13 hours a day. Children of 6 to 13 need 9 to 11 hours of sleep. Teenagers(青少年) of 14 and up need 8 to 10 hours of sleep.

    Set a strict nap timetable(小睡时间表). Younger children should take a short sleep during the day. Even older children can benefit(获益) from late-afternoon naps if they don't get enough sleep at night. 

    Pay attention to screen time. Remember to ask children to tum off the television and the computer an hour before they go to bed. If possible, get them out of their bedrooms since the light from the screens can make sleep a difficult job. 

    Get children moving. Running around and playing sports are great, but children can move in other ways too. They can take a dog for a walk or go to the park-just get them out of the house and get them moving.

How to Become a Radio DJ

    Do you have a great voice? Have you ever thought about   A   (become) a radio DJ? Working as a DJ can be exciting but it also needs experience. If you want to be a DJ, the following are usual the ways to start.

    Intern(实习生). It's a dirty job. Unluckily, most radio station workers start as an intern. This means working long hours without pay. It will help you do better at the radio station.

    Events. Because you can't get a DJ job with no experience, you might want to work as a DJ for events. Weddings, parties and special situations all need DJs to provide the music and some laughs. This is a great way to learn to work with people and play music.

    Fill in (替补). If you work at a radio station, you can ask to be put on the “fill in” list for DJs. So if the main DJ gets sick, you can fill in for him or her to get some experience.

    Your schooldays should be some of the best and happiest days of your life. How can you get the most from them, and be sure you do not waste (浪费) this great chance to learn?

    Be active (积极的) at school. Don't say things are difficult or boring. Take an interest in your school life and school subjects. Take part in lots of activities (活 动). Put up your hands quickly in class. Go around the school with a big smile. If you are not working, you are wasting your time at school. Teachers can not make everything enjoyable (令人愉快的).

    Keep fit. If you don't eat a good breakfast, you will be thinking about food in class.

    If you go to bed late and don't have enough sleep, you will be sleepy in class. Play enough sports every day in order to keep your body strong.

    Face the problem. Do not say you will do things tomorrow. If you get behind the class, it is very difficult to get back in front. You cannot finish the race if you rest all the time. Everyone fails (失败) some exams, loses some matches and has a bad day. Don't make small problems very big and important. Don't forget to ask for help if you cannot solve the problems. You are young, and no one thinks you must do everything quite well!

    Spend the weekends. Don't waste time lying in bed on Saturday or Sunday morning. Go and play sports, get together with friends in the park to relax, learn to play the piano, or help someone with problems. If you don't want to go out, there are also a lot of things to do. You may read a book, practice English or help your mum with housework.

    I usually go to school on foot every week day. And I get to school at 6: 45 am. I have four classes in the morning, I have lunch at school, but I don't like school lunch. In the afternoon, I have three classes. I'm busy but I'm very happy!

    We have many rules in our school. We can't talk in the library or eat in the classroom. And we can't be late for school. We must clean our classroom every day. Besides, we need to say hello to our teachers when we meet them.
