    Taiwan lies in the southeast of China. It's the largest island in China. It has an area of about 36, 000 square kilometres and it has a population of over 20, 000, 000.It is rich in natural resources. Bananas, rice, tea and so on are famous at home and abroad. Clothes, food and so on are also well known all over the world. Its beautiful scenery, such as Sun­Moon Lake and Mount Ali, and its wonderful climate make more and more travelers come to Taiwan.

    Taiwan has been part of China since ancient times. Most people of the island came from Fujian and Guangdong. All the people on both sides of the strait (海峡) have a strong wish to unite our motherland.

     New York City is a very large city with 8 million people. How do so many people move on their way to work and school?

     In New York you can travel around the city by subway, bus, taxi and car. The subway train runs on the railway lines under the city. It crosses the city at different points and goes to all parts of the city. Travelling by subway is the fastest way to get around the city.

     The second way to travel around the city is by bus. It is a slower way to travel. This is because the bus moves on the road on which traffic is often heavy.

     You can also travel around the city by taxi. This is very expensive, but the taxi will take you to every place you wish to go to. If traffic is heavy, the taxi will be slow. During the mornings and afternoons, there is the "rush hour". This is the time when the traffic is very heavy with people going to and from work.

     The last way to get around New York is using your own car. It is inconvenient(不方便的) since you will perhaps be driving in the "rush hour". If there is an accident on the road, you will have to wait for a long time.

     The best time to travel around the city is from 9 a. m.to 4 p. m. This is the time after the morning rush hour and before the afternoon rush hour. Traffic will be less crowded during this time since most people are already at school or at work.

    Did you try Marathon（马拉松）? On Oct. 25 this year , three beautiful women teachers from Chongqing No. 1 middle school joined in Chongqing International Women's Half Marathon . They are Fu Li , Cheng Changyu and Wang Zhenli .

    This competition was organized（组织）by Leshi Company（乐视公司）. Only women can join in this race . In this race , women can enjoy running and win the prize when they finish running . There are three groups for them to choose , and they must finish the race in the given time .

    This competition shows us the importance of running and keeping healthy . Fu Li , One of the women teachers from Chongqing No. 1 middle school , said to the reporter , " Half a year ago , I didn't join in any sports games . At that time , I couldn't finish a 800 meter race . Now I take part in this Marathon . I really find myself wonderful in this game and had a lot fun running ."

    Do you have a healthy lifestyle? I think I do. First, I have many good eating habits. I like junk food, I hardly eat it. I eat fruit and vegetables every day. they are not very delicious, but they good for health. Second, I every day. It is said that if people run every day, then will have more hearts than others, so I run for about thirty minutes every morning. , I have good living habits. I try to eight hours every night.
