We can't remember clearly since we started to take our mobiles to dinner table. This happens a lot, (especial) when we eat out. Once a dish comes, of lifting our chopsticks, we take out our mobiles and click. Later, we post the photos onto Weibo or Wechat, waiting to be "liked." Then we check our mobiles from time to time during the meal, to see whether we get "liked" not. We just cannot leave our mobiles for simply a meal.
Does that sound familiar to you? Do you do that often? If , how do you feel when others do that when having dinner with you?
A recent study suggests that what we are used to (do) is not so good. Spending time taking photos of food makes the food less pleasant. To test this, some researchers did an experiment. Some people were (ask) to take photos before they could enjoy food. As a , it showed that the (many) photos they took, the less delicious the food to them. So, why not stop taking photos and just enjoy the food in front of you?
So, next time you go out to have dinner with your family or friends, how about not (take) photos of food? Let the food be delicious as it is and share your life with people around you. Trust me, it will be a wonderful time.

I'm not the kind of mother who often brushes her daughter's hair, and my daughter has never liked sitting quietly long enough for me to do it.
But today, I took a chair outside and let my daughter Kitty sit on it. She was sitting high with her eyes closed, skin still wet from the shower and her messy hair behind her back. I realized she was taking in every touch from my hands. Today we would send Kitty away for a week of a summer camp. This was all my idea. She's nearly 12, and I notice that I'm with my child nearly 24 hours a day. Living on the farm without neighbours, Kitty has become increasingly dependent(依赖的) on me.
After lunch, we drove to the camp place. After we got out of the car, we were introduced to the other children. Kitty followed me closely, holding my hand all the time. "I need you for a few more minutes," she said to me, horror in her eyes.
I pulled away and walked up to a camp worker. "Excuse me," I said loudly, "I'd like to introduce you to my daughter. Maybe you could help her meet a few of these kids." He came over to talk to Kitty and I kissed on her face. Then we all disappeared before Kitty realized we had left.
On my way home, I felt a piece of my soul(灵魂) had been taken away from my body. I began to shake. Tears came down my face. When I arrived home, I calmed down and reminded(提醒) myself why I chose this path. "I want Kitty to have a chance to find herself, out of my shadow. If I don't set her free, I'm afraid she won't be independent forever," I said to myself.
Mr Hunt came from a poor family. He had three brothers and two sisters. His father worked hard but wasn't paid much. And his mother did all the housework at home. They were both able but they couldn't get enough money for their family.
Mr Hunt was at school for only three years and he had to stop to help his parents though he was good at his lessons. When he was sixteen, he came to the city and began to work in a small factory. He learned from an old worker and became a skilled worker. The old worker liked him and married his daughter to him. The young man did not have his own house and had to live with his parents-in-law. His mother-in-law always thought he was poor and often chattered(喋喋不休).So the young man tried to save everything and hoped to have his own house.
It was one fine Sunday. The old woman wanted to have a picnic on top of the hill. She told Mr Hunt to drive her car. But sometimes she told him to turn left and sometimes to turn right. The young man had to listen to her. At a crossing, the lights were red but she made him turn left. The policeman stopped them and told the young man to give his license to him.
"If I did wrong, sir," said Mr Hunt, "it was my mother-in-law's fault. She was driving the car though she sat behind me!"

Zhalong is a nature reserve in Heilongjiang in northeast China. It is one of the world’s most important wetlands. The area provides food and shelter for wildlife. It is an ideal home for different kinds of plants, fish and birds.
Many birds live comfortably in Zhalong Nature Reserve all year round, while some only stay for a short time. There are many fish in the wetlands, and the birds can easily catch them for food. Zhalong Nature Reserve is an important living area for the rare red-crowned cranes. There are not many red-crowned cranes in the world. Some of them live in Zhalong.
Some people want to change the wetlands to make more space for farms and buildings. This means that there will be less and less space for wildlife.
More and more birds are in danger because they do not have enough living space. Many of them died. The Chinese government wants to protect these endangered birds, and they can be safe in Zhalong.
Every year a lot of tourists go to Zhalong to watch birds. This year members of our Bird watching Club are going to study the different kinds of birds in Zhalong and the changes in their numbers. The study begins next month.
We do a bird count once a year. We are now inviting secondary school students to help. We need more people to help us count and do something to help the birds. Many people do not understand the importance of the wetlands. We hope this information will help them understand and make them actively take action to protect wildlife.
