Peter's   is fish.

    Mr and Mrs Spencer both had very busy jobs and didn't have much time to spend with their young children. They wanted to change this, and because their hobby was boating, they decided to sail(出海航行) around the world together.

    It took six years to prepare everything for the trip. First, they bought a new boat. Then, both of them had to take good sailing lessons and learn all about the sea and the weather. Mr Spencer also took several lessons in repairing(维修) engines and Mrs Spencer spent an hour in a restaurant learning to cut up fish.

    In October they had one year off from their jobs and sailed away from England with their two children. The next year, in August, their long journey ended in Australia.

    The boat was not big, but they took a teacher for the children with them. None of them found the trip boring because there were three computers, many CDs, a TV and a DVD player on the boat,

    The family loved being at sea and seeing the stars in the sky. But, most of all, Mr and Mrs Spencer enjoyed playing with their children while they were still young.

    My parents took me to Japan when I was little. I lived there for five years. 1 I came back, my Japanese was very good. "Can I do something useful with my Japanese?" I asked myself. Then, one day last spring, I got a good chance. 1 stayed at home with 2to do. My father brought me a Japanese book." Why don't you translate(翻译) it into Chinese? But I couldn't make myself turn over the pages. How greatly I wished I could just go outside and play football with my friends! I counted the words again and again. I just wanted to give up. I felt as if two people were fighting 5 my mind. One said, "Don't give up! Keep working hard, and you'll do well!" But then the other one said, "Go and play! It will be more fun than translating. Do your work tomorrow." I stood up and would turn off the computer. But then I remember 6 my parents had told me: "Whatever you do, don't stop halfway." So I sat down and went on with it.

    Chinese knot making is one of China's folk hand-made arts. In Chinese ," knot" stands for friendliness, warmth, love and so on, and Chinese knots are often used to express( 表达) good wishes.

    Chinese knot-making has a long history. It appeared first long long ago. And at that time, knots were used to record events. It was developed in the Tang and Song Dynasties and was popular in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

    Every Chinese knot is made of a single rope and is named after its special form and meaning. By combining knots skillfully, we will get a special and lucky ornament(装饰品). Chinese knot making is more than a craft, it is a wonderful art. Today, it is popular here and abroad. If you are bothered about what present to send to foreign friends, why not Chinese knots?

    Christmas was coming and Bob was so excited that he couldn't sleep, so he got up to Put more d around the house.
