一 Yes. there are more than 40 sites, for example, the Great Wall and West Lake.
一 Oh, I see.
There are many around Oxford.
Last week, I visited the Badaling Great Wall with my friend Peter.
We set off early in the morning. We took the subway first and then a bus. Reaching the foot of the Great Wall, Peter was attracted by the landscape at once. "How wonderful it is!" he said repeatedly and pulled me into the cable car (缆车) at once. We got a view of the beautiful scenery.
After a while, we got to the Great Wall. Peter was very excited. He touched the bricks. I told him when and how we Chinese built the wall.
He listened with great interest. When we entered a turret (炮塔), Peter was more curious. I told him what the turret was and what it was built for "It was really an amazing achievement (成就)!
Peter said with admiration (钦佩) and took several photos.
Then, we reached the Stele (石碑) of brave Man, the symbol (象征) of the great Wall. A lot of visitors gathered (聚集) around it and took photos. I translated the words on the stele for Peter. "Only the one who can reach the great Wall is a brave man." "Rell?" Peter asked joking. We both laughed.
If he free, he help you.
They are good places in Shanghai.
Today, tourism (旅游业) has become one of the fastest growing industries (产业) in most places. Why are more and more people fond of travelling? The main reason is for pleasure. For example, having worked hard throughout the weekdays, people will want to go to the mountains or beaches nearby for relaxing. When people return from their trip, they will usually feel fresh and energetic, and ready to work harder.
Travelling is also one of the best means (方法) for learning. You may have read or heard about something, but you can never get a picture of it until you see it by yourself. Seeing is believing. What's more, if you are a careful observer (观察者), you can learn much during your travel, such as the geography and the history of the places you visit. Though you have studied well at school, there is always a lot for you to learn through travelling. You can find the knowledge in your life, and it is more valuable than what you got from books.
