It was my first day at school. The teacher in my English class was Mr. Browne, a really tall man with a yellow beard (胡须). At the beginning of the class, he wrote on the blackboard in big letters: PRECEPT. "Okay, so who can tell me what a precept is? Does anyone know?" No one put up their hands. Mr. Browne smiled and wrote on the blackboard again: PRECEPT=Rules about really important things. "So, what are some really important things?" he asked us. Many students gave their answers: rules, study, homework, family, parents, friends, our world... "Okay," said Mr. Browne, "but no one has named the most important thing of all." we all looked at him, out of ideas. He then wrote down: WHO WE ARE! "Who we are! Right? What kind of people are we? Isn't that the most important thing? Learning who you are is what you're here to do." He turned around and wrote down: Mr. Browne's September precept: When given the choice(选择) between being right or being kind, choose(选择) kind. "Okay, so everybody, from now on, at the beginning of every month, I'm going to write a new precept on the blackboard and you are going to write it down in your notebook. Then we are going to talk about it and what it means." As I wrote down Mr. Browne's precept, I began to find out that I was going to like school.

Do you often have dreams? What do your dreams look like? There was an artist who made art about his dreams. His name is Salvador Dali. On May 11, 1904, Salvador Dali was born in a small town in Spain(西班牙). His family's house was near the sea. Little Dali loved playing on the beach. From the sea and rocks there, he got great inspiration. That gave him new and creative(有创意的) ideas. At school, Dali was not a good student. He often looked out of the window, lost in daydreams. Dali liked to draw pictures of his family. At 13, he went to evening classes for drawing. Dali was a star student there. He started to do better in his studies, too. After growing up, he had long hair. He liked to wear special clothes. After leaving art school, Dali joined some artists in Paris. They painted strange, dream-like pictures. In 1941, Dali began to design jewelry(设计珠宝). He designed a flower that could open and close. He also designed brooches(胸针) that looked like eyes and hands. They each looked really special and interesting. In 1948, he came back to Spain and opened a museum to show his paintings and jewelry. When people visit the museum, they feel that they are in a dream. That is what Dali wanted.

They couldn't work it out and all wanted to leave and go their own way. They each found a new 4 to live in. But a lion 5 found them. He thought that this might be a good time to kill the cows and 6 a good meal. One by one, he found the cows and killed them all. The story gives us something to 7 .
