Then it was<br />destroyed by fire in 1613, but a second Globe Theatre was built on the same site by the<br />following June. The modern reconstruction of it opened in 1997, about 230 metres from<br />the site of the original theatre. The theatre brings Shakespeare's life to the world, using<br />modern technology like TV programmes and picture displays. So the exhibition is most attractive<br />to tourists. It includes a guided tour of the theatre and opens from 10am to 5pm daily.<br />Admission charges are £8 for adults, £6 for senior citizens and students and £5 for<br />children aged 5 to 15. A family ticket is available for £23. This includes two adults<br />and three children. Groups of 15 or more must book in advance.
