阅读理解The Best Art Shows To VisitLost Gardens of London23 October 2024 to 23 December 2024 The new exhibition will reveal the secret history of some of London's most attractive forgotten gardens. Thousands of gardens have disappeared across London over the past 500 years ranging from princely private botanical gardens to the ecological parks of the 20th century. A wide range of paintings, photographs and maps will bring these lost spaces to life. The Garden Museum, 5 Lambeth Palace Rd, London SE17LB. Silk Roads26 September 2024 to 23 February 2025 A new exhibition at the British museum will challenge the concept of the Silk Roads as a simple history of trade between East and West. Rather than a single trade route the Silk Roads were made up of overlapping networks linking communities across Asia, Africa and Europe demonstrated by more than 300 objects at this exhibition. The British Museum, London WC1B3DG. When Other Worlds Whisper20 to 26 December 2024 This display features the works by Rosie Emerson, an experimental printmaker who draws from the history of theater and ecology to create rich, extraordinary scenes on paper. Her exhibition is inspired by the grottoes (石窟) of luxury nobles, the reflection of microscopic life, the mysterious patterns of animals, like coral and the secret draws of Victorian cabinets. The Hayward Gallery, Belvedere Road, London SE18XZ. The Dog Walk26 November to 16 December 2024 By the children's author and illustrator (插画师) Catherine Rayner comes her second show focusing on dogs. The range of work on display will be using a variety of materials, from pencil to sandpaper and cotton wool on board and paper. For Catherine, there is a real pleasure in painting combinations of dogs of varying shapes and sizes. Sarah Wiseman Gallery, Oxford OX27JL.
