Jack is a good boy and he is very (感兴趣的)in sports. (然而), he was not at school today. He was in hospital. A serious(严重的)(事故)happened to him today.
His home is (近的)to school so he rides his bike to school every morning. It was (拥挤的)on the road this morning. While he was turning right at a crossing, a car ran there and hit him. He (跌倒)off the bike and lay on the (地面). The driver got out of the car and sent Jack to the hospital quickly. The doctor said that Jack's head was(受伤) seriously so he should stay in hospital for some days.
In our everyday life, we should (保护)ourselves from (危险)while going to school. We must follow the traffic rules. When we want to turn around, we must look around first. At the same time, we'd better wear helmets(头盔).
Saving water is an important part of going green. As water becomes less and is polluted (污染的) more, conservation (保护) becomes more and more important. If people keep wasting water, more water needs to be treated and cleaned. This process (过程) needs quite a lot of money.
As it is said above, cutting down on water usage is one of the most important things you can do for your local environment. That is why more green families are going blue by conserving and harvesting water.
It may seem like a big concept (概念), but going blue starts with small changes. Something as simple as turning off the tap when you brush your teeth can save a lot of water. Wash your fruits and vegetables in a bowl instead of under a tap to save even more. Make sure that the taps are fully turned off every time you step away.
Another way of reducing water usage is reducing your dependence on the main water supply. Rainwater harvesting can meet a lot of your home's water needs. Collecting rainwater is a great way to keep your garden green without running the sprinkler (洒水器).

Hello, I'm Tom from Class One, Grade Eight.
from the book?

Zhalong is a nature park in Heilongjiang in Northeast China. It is one of the world's most important wetlands. The area provides food and homes for wildlife. It is an ideal home for different kinds of plants, fishes and birds.
Many birds live comfortably in Zhalong Nature Park all year round, while some only stay for a short time. There are many fish in the wetlands, and the birds can easily catch them for food. Zhalong Nature Park is an important living area for the rare red-crowned cranes. There are not many red-crowned cranes in the world. Some of them live in Zhalong.
Some people want to change the wetlands to make more space for farms and buildings. This means that there will be less and less space for wildlife.
More and more birds are in danger because they do not have enough living space. Many of them died. The Chinese government wants to protect these endangered birds, and they can be safe in Zhalong.
Every year a lot of tourists go to Zhalong to watch birds. This year members of our Bird Watching Club are going to study the different kinds of birds in Zhalong and the changes in their numbers. The study will begin next month.
We do a bird count once a year. We are now inviting the second school students to help. We need more people to help us count and do something to help the birds. Many people do not understand the importance of the wetlands. We hope this information will help them understand it and make them actively take action to protect wildlife.
