Welcome to the virtual tour of Woodlands Junior School in the south-east corner of the UK.

    The school was built in the 1960s. The main building of our school is two floors with four classes on each floor. We also have classes in outer buildings.

    Our classrooms are large and every classroom, in the main teaching block, has its own resource(资源) area.

    We have a good music room where we hold our lessons. Many of our students play a variety of musical instruments(乐器). We are the only school in our area to have a Singing and Signing Choir. The children use their voices as well as sign language.

We have a school hall. The colourful curtains(窗帘) you can see, were provided(提供) by our Friends Association. Behind the curtains is our dining hall. The hall is used for gymnastics, assemblies, eating lunch and is the place where we hold our many events.

    The Witch（女巫）looks at Dorothy(多萝西) and sees the silver shoes on her feet. She knows they are special shoes. She wants them. But how can she take them from the girl? She must wait for the right moment. She takes Dorothy to the kitchen.

    "You are my slave(奴隶) now!" she says. "You must work for me."

    "You must wash the floor every day!" she says. "Then you must do the washing-up! And don't forget! I'm watching you!"

    The days pass. Dorothy works very hard in the kitchen. She remembers Uncle Henry and Aunt Em in Kansas. She remembers her friends the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman. She's very sad and she often cries. At night, she goes to see the Lion. The Witch doesn't give him anything to eat or drink, so Dorothy takes him food and water from the kitchen.

    The Witch watches Dorothy all the time. She is waiting for the right moment to take the silver shoes. Dorothy wears them all the time. The only time she takes them off is when she has a bath. The Witch is afraid of water, so she is afraid to go near the girl when she is in the bath. She just waits....
