I had a great weekend. I went camping with my cousins in a small village. (1)The village was far, so we drove there. There were a big lake in the village and (2)we put up three tents near the lake. In the evening, we made a fire. We sit around the fire and told stories.
The next morning,(3) 我们在村庄里拍照。The village was old but beautiful.(4)The people there were very friendly. Some asked us to go to their homes and some cooked good food for us. I had a lot of fun. I got home on Sunday evening. (5)我们觉得很累,但是我们很开心。 How was your weekend? Write to me soon.

Hi, Mike,
I had a great vacation! I stayed with my uncle in the countryside. He lives in a small village and it is wonderful. My uncle is a farmer and he works very hard every day. (A)He showed me around his farm and village. Everyone in the village was really friendly!
On my first day there, (B)我叔叔教我怎样骑马。The horse was really big and we rode through the forest. It was wonderful! On the second day, we climbed a mountain and saw quite a few animals. It was so special, but the weather was very terrible. It was wet and rainy at the top.
I didn't take many photos of the mountains because of the weather. But I did take photos of the lake we visited. (C)My brother came to stay with my uncle, too. But he slept a lot and didn't go out. He was bored, of course.
What did you do on vacation? Where did you go? Did you have fun?
See you soon.
Tom
Travel study is a new way to spend your holiday. Do you hear about it?
When you have a travel study, you can go to the Big Ben, Sydney Opera House, the Statue of Liberty and so many other places. During the travel study, you may go travelling by yourself or with your family or your friends.
When you travel, you are in a different culture every day. You will be served with different new food and make new friends. You read all these from books in the past, but now it's real and you are part of it. Besides, you may learn other cultures(文化) from your new friends because they are from different countries.
Maybe you have foreign teachers in your school to teach you English. But he or she will not keep speaking English with you all the time, right? During the travel study, you have to speak it every day and almost everywhere because you are in an English-speaking country.
It also gives you a chance to live alone. That will teach you how to live. "What should I do if I lose my way in a foreign country?" "How can I buy what I want with my poor English?" You have to be clever enough and find answers for yourself!
In conclusion (总之), you can get a lot from the travel study.
Florida is a pleasant and beautiful state in the southeast of the USA. People from the northern states of America like having a travel there, where it is often warm in winter.
Tourists often buy souvenirs (纪念品 ) when they visit1 new place. In Florida some visitors buy something very2: a baby alligator( 短嘴鳄鱼) about 20 to 30 centimeters long. Alligators live
3in water, so tourists have to find a4of keeping them alive when they return to their homes. Some tourists put the baby alligators into the pool at their home. 5people do not have a pool, they sometimes keep their alligator in a bath (浴缸) and6it fish to eat. It is 7to a have a lovely alligator in your swimming pool, but this creates problems. As a result, many people want to8the alligators when they grow bigger or are difficult to look9.
Some alligators do not wait for their owners to free them. They10to escape(逃走) from a pool by themselves. Some of these alligators die when they fail to find food.
We are still going on journeys, still travelling but in a slightly more sedate manner. Because of the time we live in, we are rediscovering the simple and healthful joys of walking. In the countryside, through forests, down hills or along ancient trails, this manner of travel has become increasingly popular in the country in the aftermath of COVID19.
From May 1 to Oct.31 in 2020, more than 140,000 travelers signed up for trips organized by Youxiake, a Hangzhoubased tour operator that invites people to explore nature by foot. This represents a 9. 3 percent increase over the same period last year. And the number of hikers marching along its routes has doubled, according to Huang Bowei, marketing director of the company. Not surprisingly, more tourists are choosing to explore domestic(国内的) routes, according to Huang.
"After the outbreak, people became more aware of keeping fit," Huang says. "Hiking or trekking in nature enables us to breathe fresh air, gives the whole body a workout and keeps us away from the crowds in urban public places, which fits perfectly with the requirement for social distancing. That's why these domestic hiking or trekking routes have seen more visitors this year."
Zhang Peng started spending hours on the trail in 2013 when his startup business went through some tough times. "I felt that exposure to nature and physical exhaustion(疲惫) helped me release my stress at that time," Zhang recalls.
"Trekking has been integrated into my lifestyle," he says. "It's a liberating experience to enjoy the calmness in the wilderness. And the exhausting climb makes me feel the vigor(活力) of life."

At 7 am, we got on the state-of-the-art Fuxing Hao train at Shanghai Railway Station. We stored our (背包) and found our seats. Unlike other trains which start with a shake and much 5 (噪音) , this train felt so smooth that if you were not looking out of windows, you could (几乎不) tell we were moving. Yet, within minutes, we were passing over the rails at speeds of more than 350 kilometers an hour.
Soon, the towns of (东部的) China were rushing by. I saw my wife smiling and (指向) to a coin she had balanced on the table She took another coin and balanced it next to the first, and then another, until she had a (行) of coins. They stood there on the table for more than 20 minutes before one finally fell over.
After that, we (两个都) went back to reading and enjoying the beauty outside. We felt quite (放松的) . Then, before we knew it, we heard the announcement that we were arriving in Beijing. For 1, 318 kilometers, we (花费) only 4 hours and 38 minutes. Thanks to high speed trains, we can travel in China much more conveniently. No (疑惑), they will also bring the people of the country closer together, and in time bring about deep social changes, the full nature of which no one can fully guess.
I was born in Hainan. It is in the south of China. The weather there is different from that of other places of China. There is no winter in Hainan. It's not cold all year round. Many people go there in winter, because it's cold in the north of China. In summer, it's very hot. It's usually sunny, but it often rains. So people often take a pair of sunglasses and a raincoat at the same time. People can enjoy many kinds of fruits like bananas and coconuts.
Hainan is a good place to go for holidays and have fun. People can go fishing, boating, swimming and so on. When we want to have a rest, we can walk on the beach and enjoy the fresh air and white clouds. It's so interesting. Would you like to go to Hainan?
Do you like to travel?Which transportation do you like(good), by car, by train, by ship or by plane?
fastest way of travelling is by plane. With a plane, we can travel in one day to places which it(take)a month or more to get to a hundred years ago.
Traveling by train is slower than plane but we can see beautiful scenery during the travel. Modern(train) have comfortable seats and dining cars. They make even the longest journey(enjoy).
Some people like travelling by ship. There are large luxury liners ( 客轮 ) or river boats . They are not as fast as trains or planes, travelling by ship is a very pleasant way(spend)a holiday .
Many people like to travel by car becausecan make their own timetable. They can travel(hundred) of miles a day just as they wish.
One day I got a call. It said I won a competition and I could take a trip to Guadeloupe with a group for free. The next day, on my way home from school, I borrowed (借) a book on Guadeloupe from the library and then I bought a map of Guadeloupe in the bookstore.
I left for the airport (机场) at about 3:00 a.m. It was too early to take a bus, so my dad drove me. When I arrived at Pointe-à-Pitre, a city in Guadeloupe, I took a taxi to the hotel. It was rainy and cloudy when I left London but it was sunny in Pointe-à-Pitre.
The others in the group were Chinese and Japanese. French (法语) is the language of Guadeloupe but we couldn't speak it. So for the next five days, we had language classes before lunch. After lunch, we visited different places and in the evening we played cards.
Then we went to a small island (岛). For the next two weeks, we stayed with the Dinart family in their house. They were very friendly. I often helped Mrs. Dinart clean the house.
I really enjoyed the trip. I met many interesting people and tried lots of new things.
The westerners have more vacation days than us. Some people like to stay at home during their vacation. They work in the garden, visit their friends, read books or watch TV. Many families take their lunch to a park or somewhere far from the city. They like to eat under some trees or near a nice lake. If they live near the sea, they often go to the seaside. There they can fish, swim or enjoy the sun.
The westerners like travelling. They think travelling and outdoor activities are the parts of their lives. They work hard to save money, but their main purpose(目的) is to travel. Most western students often make use of their vacation to camp. There are thousands of camp interesting places in western countries. They can swim, go fishing, attend lectures, and take part in many other activities there. It can help them know the secrets of nature, and teach them how to be self-reliant(自立).

Travel Tips for Holidays Abroad
Everyone loves holiday abroad. They give us the chance to see some sights, have some fun and relax. However, holidays aren't always a great experience. Follow these tips to make sure you enjoy your holiday.
Have you packed your passport? Your tickets? Every year, thousands of people miss flights because they've forgotten their passport, they arrive at the airport too late, or even go to the wrong airport!
How much do you know about the place you are going to visit? Learning a little about the culture of a country will help you understand the people. Learning a few words of another language can also help you make new friends.
Try to reduce the pollution you cause. Travel by train if you can. Flying produces twenty times more carbon dioxide(二氧化物) than travelling by train. Of course, it might be impossible to avoid flying, but when you arrive, use buses or trains instead of taxis.
You can help a local community a lot by staying in local hotels and eating in local restaurants. This means that your money will go to local people, rather than to a large international company.
You don't want to forget your holiday. Make a scrapbook—a book of memories—about your holiday. You can show it to friends, or just use it to remember all the good times you had! And don't forget the new friends you made on holiday. Did you promise to send them pictures or presents? Don't forget to do it! Then next time you go on holiday, you can visit them again.
The summer holiday is coming. Tim and I plan (travel) to India together. India is an old country a long-history. And we can visit many (place) of interest there.

Tim and I decide to make a (plan). We will visit the old buildings, climb a mountain and eat Indian food. We will help each other and (share) the fun. We're sure we'll enjoy (us).

(I am Gulliver.格列弗)
On 20th June 1702 I set off(出发) for Surat, on a ship called the Adventure(冒险). And indeed "adventure" was an appropriate name for that ship, and for everything that happened on that trip.
The first part of our trip went well. But later there were some terrible storms(糟糕的暴风雨). The winds were so strong that they sent our ship off course(航线). We had no idea where we were.
At last, when the storms stopped, we saw an island(岛). We had no more drinking water so the captain sent me to find some freshwater on the island. I set off with some other men in a small boat. And when we got there, I travelled around the island by myself while the men looked for water.
That was a big mistake(错误). When I went back there were no men and no boat! Then I saw themrowing back to our ship with a giant(巨人) following them in the sea! They were very afraid.
I ran as fast as I could. I then climbed a big hill and when I looked around I saw fields. Then I saw other giants working in the fields.
"On my last trip I was a giant on an island of tiny(小的) people and now I am a tiny person on an island of giant!" It was not a nice feeling. I was so sad and hid behind a big tree. I had to think of a plan but at that time one of the giants saw me.
①A giant followed our ship in the sea.
②The captain sent me to find some drinking water on the island.
③We met storms and didn't know where we were.
④I climbed a big hill and saw other giants working in the fields.

You most have been to many places of interest and all kinds of beautiful mountains and rivers. I am also sure that you have many old buildings covered with colorful pictures on the walls. Now imagine that building with an exterior(外观)made completely out of corn and other grains! The building really exists-it is the Corn Palace.
The Corn Palace was built 1892 in Mitchell, South Dakota. It was created to display the products of the harvest of South Dakota's farmers, in murals(壁画)inside the building on the outside walls of the building. The murals are made from of corn and other grains(谷物)and such as wild oats, rye, straw and wheat. The Corn Palace is a great tourist attraction and
place for the community. Many events held here and the most popular is the Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo. But the horses must be watched so that they don't eat the building!

Toronto, Canada, is a fantastic city. It's large with many job chances, and most importantly, it is one of the most diverse (各种各样的)cities in the world with over 140 languages spoken there. What's more, 12. 5 percent of the city's population is Chinese.
With all these different groups, it's no surprise that you can find food from all over the world. from Vietnamese to Ethiopian. Many of these restaurants are located in the Kensington Market area, where there's also music to hear and art to see.
That is probably the reason why people living there consider it a mysterious place. A travel blogger Alyssa James said, "The city doesn't give away its secrets easily. I love Toronto because you really have to love it to know it. "
Toronto is also a great place to explore. Bruce Poon Tip told BBC News, "Toronto gives me big city advantages with small-town living. " He added, "It's clean, it's safe, … and it's beautiful. " The good news is you won't miss any of its beauty, as Toronto has a very good public transport system.
It also has a fame of being home to many computer geniuses. So if you're hoping to work in the technology industry, Toronto is the place to be.
With all this to offer, it's not surprising that this Canadian city is a dream place, whether you re going on a vacation or even looking for a home.
