When I was a boy we had several gardens around our old house. The largest one of all was used just for 1 potatoes. I can still remember those potato 2 days. The whole 3 helped.
4 my Dad had tilled(耕地)the soil,my Mom,brothers, and I went to work. It was my job to 5 the little seed potatoes in the rows while my Mom dropped 6 of fertilizer (肥料)beside them. My brothers then covered them all 7 the freshly turned earth.
For months afterward I would 8 over at the garden while I played outside and wonder what was going on underneath the ground. When the harvest time came I was 9 at the huge size of the potatoes my Dad pulled out of the soil.
Those little seedlings had grown into sweet food. They would be 10 meal after meal of baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, and my 11 favorite: potatoes cooked in spaghetti sauce.
They would 12 the entire family well fed throughout the whole year. It 13 was a miracle to be held.
Thinking back to those special times makes me wonder how many other 14 I have planted in tills life that have grown 15 in the hearts and minds of others.
How many times has God used some little thing that I said 16 did to grow something beautiful? How many 17 has Heaven used these little seedlings to 18 another's soul with sweet food?
I hope then you always 19 the garden around you with care. I hope that you plant only goodness, peace, and20 in the lives of everyone you help. I hope that everyday you help miracles to grow.

After Steve Jobs died, his friend Larry Ellison said something like this. "There will never be another Steve Jobs." Larry wrote this list of Steve's life lessons to remind us all.
⒈Love what you do.
Sure Steve became a billionaire when he brought Apple back. Apple was his calling-even after he got fired from the company. We all have bad jobs at one point in our lives. But the question is: Am I in the right job? Have I found the right company? Life doesn't go on forever.
⒉Don't do it all by yourself.
Steve learned a great leader can't do it all by himself. He needs people. They must be talented. They must be given the opportunity to succeed and fail. In short, we have to learn to be a great leader if we want to see our great ideas and hard work truly have an influence on the world.
⒊
Apple was always the best at creating a new product that meets the exact needs of users. It's empathy (同感) that helps Apple achieve this. Whenever the user has the first touch with a new Apple product, he says "Wow, it's just what I need." Remember: You're King in the business world if you know exactly what consumers desire.
⒋Don't mess around with your health.
That's the most important lesson from Steve's life. It's great to learn from him but, the fact is that he should still be here if he had treated his cancer properly. Instead, Steve chose a naturopathic (自然疗法) solution that wasn't effective. When he finally decided to take his doctor's original advice, it was too late.
A. They must be inspired.
B. Be the best in your field.
C. Take your health seriously.
D. Get on our right path now.
E. Will this lead to a successful career?
F. Put yourself in the other person's shoes.
G. What are the key things that we could learn from him?
It's almost a common belief that the best food you can find in a place is not in the fancy restaurants, in the backstreets. These spots are usually away from popular tourist attractions, which means that to find them you'll need the spirit of an explorer.
That's I came across roujiamo when I was exploring Beijing. I found restaurant that sold dishes from Xi'an when I explored the area around (I) office one day. I decided to try it out.
My roujiamo (make) fresh, so the bread was still warm. It was soft when I bit into it, and the meat inside was delicious and tender. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I ordered more to take home with me. Though it's just a snack, it's still quite filling and can (easy) satisfy your appetite.
There are a (various) of things you can put inside the "mo", as the bread is called. For example, in certain areas in Xi'an, the meat (use) is usually beef, but in Gansu Province, lamb is more common. And the first roujiamo that I tried was made pork. However it's made, it's still a tasty snack. And for an American like me who grew up (eat) hamburgers, it's a perfect combination of East and West.

Most of us lead unhealthy lives; we spend far too much sitting down. If in addition we are careless about our diets, our bodies soon become loose and fatty and our systems slow moving. There are some aspects (方面) of our unhealthy lives that we cannot avoid. I am thinking of such features of modern city life as pollution, noise, rushed meals and stress. But keeping fit is a way to reduce the effects of these evils. The usual suggestion to a person who is looking for a way to keep fit is to take up some sport or other. While it is true that every weekend you will find people playing football and hockey in the local park, they are outnumbered a hundred to one by the people who are simply watching them.
For those who do not particularly enjoy competitive sports—and it is especially difficult to do so if you are not good at them—there are such separate activities as cycling, walking, jogging and swimming. What often happens though is that you do them in such a leisurely way, so slowly, that it is doubtful if you are doing yourself much good, except for the fact that you have at least managed to get up out of your armchair.
Even after you have found a way for keeping in shape, through sport or gymnastics, you are still only half way to good health, because, according to the experts, you must also master the art of complete mental and physical relaxation. It has to do with deep breathing, emptying your mind of all thoughts, meditation, and so on. Yoga, as practiced in the West, is the most widely known and popular of the systems for achieving the necessary state of relaxation. It seems ironical (讽刺性的), though, that as our lives have improved in a material sense we have found it increasingly necessary to go back to forms of activity—physical effort on the one hand and relaxation on the other—which were the natural way of life of our forefathers.
Now a hot topic (discuss) about whether the old computers in our school should be replaced new ones. With the rapid (develop) of science and technology, there is no doubt our old computers are totally out of date. The headmaster as well as the teachers and students (be) not satisfied with the slow working speed of the computers. Therefore, all of them request that they should have new computers so that their problems can be solved (success). the school should consider is how to deal with the old computers (wise). Personally speaking, (throw) them away to the place they are regarded as rubbish is not a good idea.

Sometimes, you just can't help it. Maybe you're watching a sad movie, or thinking about the friend who moved away. Next thing you know, you feel pressure in your throat, your eyes are watering, and you have tears running down your cheeks.
According to Ad Vingerhoets, a professor of psychology at Tilburg University, in the Netherlands, who is one of the few scientists in the world who have studied crying, there are three types of tears. Basal tears are the first type. They act as a protective barrier between the eye and the rest of the world. Next are reflex tears. They wash your eyes clean when something gets in them. Finally, there are emotional tears. "These are released in response to emotional states, "explains Vingerhoets.
Scientists believe crying has something to do with how humans developed and learnt to depend on each other. "Humans are very complex social creatures, "says Lauren Bylsma, a professor at the University of Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania. "It seems that tears serve to arouse help and support from others, "she says.
Vingerhoets agrees, "I think that the reason why humans shed tears(流眼泪) has something to do with our childhood, "he says. "that's the time when we are still dependent on adults for love and protection and care. The major advantage of emotional tears is that you can target them at a specific person. "Vingerhoets says this ability could have come in handy in prehistoric times, when humans were living among dangerous animals. Tears were a safer way to get attention. "In this case, it is better to use a silent signal to ask for help, " he says.
Vingerhoets and Byhma do frequent studies to better understand why humans cry. According to Byhma, there is still much more to discover. "It's surprising, "she says, "How much we still don't know. "
