Missouri is a midwestern state lost in a never-ending sea of corn. However, somewhere hidden in these fields of corn lies one of the most impressive man-made lakes in the US, the Lake of the Ozarks. Built in the heart of Missouri, the lake was another destination on my 14-state road trip as I camped my way across America.

Surrounded by the beautiful Ozark Mountains from which it gets its name, the lake has become a mainstay in family weekend vacations since it was built in 1931. Known for natural beauty, the Ozarks remain a large tourist destination, bringing in over 5 million people each year. With choices ranging from basic camping to luxury resorts（高档度假胜地），the Ozarks have something to offer people from all backgrounds and budgets.

With more shoreline than the entire coast of California, the Lake of the Ozarks has become a favorite of boat and beach lovers alike. The huge 241-square-km lake is home to almost every watersport, ranging from something as simple as swimming to even the most extreme like parasailing or jet skiing. Although originally attracted to the campsites at the Ozarks, it was hard to resist（抵制） the call of the water and I soon found myself joining in on the fun.

Getting a respectable 4. 7 stars on Google by over a thousand reviewers, the lake has clearly held up its popular reputation. Although I did enjoy my one-person trip, I can strongly say that the Lake of the Ozarks is the most enjoyable when surrounded by friends or family. With so much to see and do, it can be overwhelming（应接不暇的）for a solo（个人的）traveler. Even with my packed three - day schedule, 1 still missed a majority of what this great location has to offer. As I plan for my next trip there, one thing is certain —I'll make sure to share this fantastic experience with some friends!

With COVID-19 outbreaks at different stages around the world, in many countries lockdowns (封城) are being carefully eased off while urging citizens to keep on practicing the social distancing rules. Singapore is trying a new way of carrying it out—a robot dog.

The government has arranged Spot, a yellow and black robotic dog made by Boston Dynamics Company, at one local park. The same robot has ever been seen dancing to hit song “Uptown Funk” before. However, 2020 is an extremely difficult year and the company is trying to assist the national coronavirus-control effort. In turn, the job has been handed over to Spot.

The four-legged robot dog patrols (巡查) the park and broadcasts a pre-recorded message to encourage visitors to observe safe distancing measures. As it walks around the park, the dog says in a female voice, “Let's keep Singapore healthy. For your own safety and for those around you, please stand at least one meter apart. Thank you.”

Spot is one of the world's most advanced robots and unlike wheeled robots, it is capable of going pretty much anywhere a dog can go and can walk up to three miles per hour over different areas, making it ideal for operation in public parks and gardens. Furthermore, it is remotely controlled and has cameras with 360-degree vision and analytic tools to scan the surroundings and help officials estimate the number of people gathering in the park.

For now, the project is currently set to run in a limited trial for two weeks at one park during off-peak (非高峰) hours. But if all goes well, authorities will consider expanding the program to improve enforcement (强制) of social distance throughout on Singapore.

Spot is also being used in other ways during the public health crisis beyond just patrolling a park. The government says it's also using Spot in another capacity—at a local isolation facility where the robot helps bring medicine to patients.

Physical education, or gym class, isn't required for all high school students. In some schools, it isn't offered for some different reasons. But should high school students have physical education? The answer is certainly "yes".

Today many people don't do sports. But as is known to all, doing sports is very important for an adult. Teaching teens the importance of a healthy lifestyle and making fitness plans now can help teens put exercise in the first place as an adult.

High school isn't that easy. Many students are under a lot of stress. Stress can be harmful to a student's studies and life. Doing sports can help them deal with stress better, helping them live a happier life at school.

Inactivity increases teens' risk of developing many diseases. An active lifestyle offers a good way of protection from these health problems. As much as 75 per cent of health care spending goes towards treating medical conditions that can be hindered by lifestyle changes, according to the American College of Sports Medicine.

According to the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition (PCFSN), students who performed five hours of physical activity each week improved their academic (学业的) performance. Students from programmes with no physical activity, who used the extra time for classroom study, did not perform better on tests than those who gave up some study time in support of physical education.

. Doctors say heart disease and some other diseases are related to the pressure of living and working in modern society. Perhaps men suffer more from these diseases because they do not cry enough. And it is possible that as more and more women work outside the home, they will also suffer from more pressure. Then everyone will need to cry more.

It was raining heavily. I was driving to go to the fitness centre and I was1at Fort Campbell, where traffic was moving slowly. I was probably going to be late and growing more and more2.

The pace slowed almost to a standstill as I3Memorial Grove, the site built to honor the soldiers who4in the Gander airplane crash. A small American flag had been5in the ground next to each soldier's memorial plaque (纪念牌匾), because it was close to Memorial Day.

He was getting totally13. He ran up to one of the memorial plaques,14the small American flag that had fallen to the ground and set it straight again. After that, he came to attention, took a(n)15salute (敬礼), ran back to his car and drove off.

I'll never forget that incident. That soldier16me more about duty, honor, and respect. That simple salute—the act of17his fallen brother moved me. All the army values were in one18.

I thank heavens for19like that. I will remember all those who gave up their20 for our freedom as well as the soldier who honored them in the heavy rain.

When people use the saying “七尺男儿”, they're usually referring a man who is tall and strong. However, it's not easy (tell) exactly how long 7 chi is. As a traditional Chinese unit of length, the (measure) of chi has changed frequently over time.

Today, 1 chi is measured around 33.3cm. So 7 chi would be 233cm.
