The couple couldn't stand it any longer and asked the old man, "Why don't you take your son to a doctor? "

The old man said, "Yes, we were just coming from the hospital. It is the first time in his life that he can see with his eyes. "

And during the recent outbreak of COVID-19, it provided a lifeline to those stuck at home with nothing to cook or who lacked the skills to prepare a meal for themselves. It's reported that in the UK alone, people eat three million takeaway meals a day, and the biggest delivery apps together offer a choice of 100 cuisines from 60, 000 restaurants.

It's no wonder we like to skip the grocery shopping（食品杂货店）and tuck into（痛快地吃）something that someone else has prepared. But ordering ready-prepared food can come at a high price. To our health, eating too much processed（加工好的）unhealthy fast food has some effects on obesity（肥胖）and increase the risk of developing certain diseases.

Of course, reducing salt, sugar and fat is one way to make takeaway food healthier. But the best choice is to find a cookbook and try making your own meals. And if you haven't got time, try ordering a healthier meal from the menu.
