    I like new skirts and jeans. At the weekend I usually go to the shops on the Internet. When I see my favourite things, I can pay for them by my credit card(信用卡).

    I think it is very easy and cheap to buy things on the Internet. I only need to stay at home and choose the things I like. I can get them quickly without going out. It doesn't take too much time.

    I'm not good at computers. I never do the shopping on the Internet. I don't think it is interesting. When l want something, I ask my parents to buy it for me in the shopping mall.

    I had a summer camp with my classmates last year. Early in the morning, we gathered at the bus station .After saying goodbye to our parents, we got on the buses. It took us more than two hours to arrive at the camp ground

    We got off the buses cheerfully. Laughing and shouting, we jumped and ran all over the place. It was the first time for us to be away from the parents. Some of us started to feel homesick However, when the night party find dances began, the homesickness(想家)was gone.

    The next day, everybody rushed to the boating class, hoping to be at the head of the others. At first, my friends and l worked hard, but the boat wouldn't listen to us and kept going round and round. Then the teacher taught us how to work together. After many tries, we did much better.

    Swimming class was my favourite. It was about the hottest time of a day and the best time to stay in the cool water. The swimming teacher was a funny man, and during the class he often made us laugh happily.

    During the week I learned a lot of new things and made many new friends. I also learned how to take care of myself.

    Lucy's aunt lives in San Francisco. She knows something about China on television. But she wants to know more. 因此她正期待着参观中国。She is going to have a holiday next week. She is going to visit Beijing because she likes Chinese culture by plane and she will live in a hotel. In Beijing she is going to do some sightseeing, visit the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace and walk up the Great Wall.

    Lucy's aunt likes animals. She likes pandas very much. So she is going to visit Beijing Zoo to see the pandas there and take some photos of them. On the last day in Beijing she is going shopping.

    She wants to buy Lucy a present. She knows Lucy likes Chinese paintings and silk.

    This is a story about a monkey. The old man liked the monkey very much. The monkey was very clever. When birds came to the garden, he drove(驱赶) them away. He also helped the old man in many other ways. A fly(苍蝇) came and sat on the end of the old man's nose. The monkey drove it away. Soon the fly came back again and sat on the old man's nose again. Again and again, the monkey became very angry. He jumped up, ran to pick up a large stone. When he came back, the fly was on the old man's nose again. The fly fell off, but the old man's nose was broken.

    They do things too quickly but they don't think much before they do. Maybe they sometimes bring us trouble, though they mean to do something good.

    Jeff Gaye, the young American swimmer, is becoming more and more famous. He has his own teacher, driver and even his own cook.3. Each time people hear him speak on television, they can't believe he's only 13. Jeff's father is an engineer but he is also his son's manager. He says, "I don't make Jeff do anything he doesn't want to do. He chooses which competition to swim in. But he works hard and wins nearly every race.     Jeff is very busy every day because people want to write about him or photograph (给……拍照) him for magazines. "When I'm at school," Jeff says,4 "我就想像我的同学们一样。That's really important to me." But Jeff doesn't have a normal schoolboy's life. He often has to travel for international races and has little free time. "I go to the pool every day and swim there for at least six hours.
