It's a common belief that the roles actors play might somehow reflect their true personalities. It's usually not true, but British actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, 34, is an exception.

Just like Fleabag, the character she played in the comedy-drama series of the same name, Waller-Bridge feels that her life is a mess. "It's just really wonderful to know that a dirty and messed up woman can make it to the Emmys, "she said. She may be" messed up", but Variety magazine calls her an “all-around icon".

Last month, Waller-Bridge took home three Emmy awards for her work on Fleabag -best writing in a comedy series, best lead actress, and best comedy series.

To the mainstream (主流) culture, the rise of "Shanzhai" culture is a challenge and a motivation (推动). People believe different kinds of cultures developing together is a perfect way and it is for the public to choose.

When baby turtles first come out of eggs, they head to the sea by nature. The beach surface goes down, which is one directional clue they follow. Another is light: The horizon over the sea is brighter than the horizon over land.

But lights from towns and beach developments can confuse the baby turtles. The sky shining above a city can mislead them to wander. And particularly bright lights can draw them away from the sea.

 History tells us what happened and when it happened, but it can't tell us how the population at large felt about it, which is where art steps in. We know a lot about how people in the past lived and worked, because their art has given us such a deep insight into their daily lives.

Most of all, we need art in our lives as it gives us a form of self-expression.  You may not think you talk about your feelings, but you may express them in other ways. Some like to cook or bake, some like to work on machinery, and others may like to paint or draw.  

So, do we need art in our lives? Many people would say no, but the art they're thinking of is the art you see in galleries.  It helps those in need, gives people in the future an idea of what life was like, and is a vital form of self-expression.
