    Watermelon is a delicious fruit. We call it watermelon because it is mostly water. In fact it is 92% water. It's usually round and "green on the outside. When you cut a watermelon, it's red or yellow inside. Sometimes there are black seeds(种子) inside and sometimes the watermelon is seedless(无籽的).

    Watermelons are grown all over the world. The largest producer of this fruit is China. More watermelons are grown in China than anywhere else in the world. Many people like to eat watermelon, especially(特别) on a hot summer day!

I am in the music club in our school. I usually go to the club after school and play the guitar for an hour. We often have a music show at school.

    What is color? Why do some of the things around us look red, some green, others blue?

    Colors are really made by reflected light. We see colors because most of the things reflect light. Something is red, because it reflects most of the red light. In the same way, if something is green, it reflects most of the green light. If something reflects all light, it is white.

    Some of the light is reflected but some is taken in and turned into heat. The darker the color is, the less light is reflected and the more light is taken in. So dark—colored clothes are warmer in the sun than light—colored clothes.

The long bus ride only stops at service stations (服务站), so make sure you have something to eat or drink. Water, fruit and cakes are great.

If you're with your family and friends, talk with them about your trip. If not, talk with the people around you. You can make new friends.

When you take a trip by bus, you can wear sports clothes and shoes. They're comfortable (舒适的). When the bus stops, you can get up and walk around. If you feel tired, get some sleep.

On the bus, you can watch the scenery outside (外面的风景) and take some nice photos.
