    During my last winter holiday, I went to countryside with my father to visit my grandparents. I find a big change there.     When I was little, Friday's night was our family game night. After supper, we would play card games of all sort in the sitting room.     I became interesting in playing football thanks to a small accident. One afternoon where I was in primary school, I was walking by the school playground.     Since I was a kid, I've considered different job I would like to do. First, I wanted to be a fireman, whose uniform looked so coolly. Then, when I was in the five grade, I wanted to be a teacher because I liked my English teacher too much. When I studied chemistry high school, I reconsidered my goal or decided to be a doctor.     I've had many dreams since I was a child. Now my dream is to opens a cafe. Though it may appear simple, it required a lot of ideas and efforts.     Applying for a foreign university is a huge project. Here is my experience. I did voluntary work in Grade One. I listed all of my achievement and the voluntary work I have done. After complete the online admission process, I took a deep breathe and dreamed about my dream college. However, except offer from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), I total got eight rejections. One day, I locked myself in my room but thought about what I had done. Finally I understood that I could learn nothing from the experience even though those rejections were made me sad. I accepted the UCSD's offer and adjusted myself quickly. For this attitude, everything I saw of UCSD thrilled me.

    The best gift I have ever received is a hand-made calendar. It was made up by my best friend Jane, with who I have so much in common. On each page of the calendar, there is the picture of us with some word written by Jane. She either tells me what she feels about our friendship or encourages me try my best and live a happy life. Whenever I look at the calendar, I am touched by something warmly, and my heart is filling with love.     I'm glad that you will compete in the final of the Chinese Speech Contest. Congratulation to you! Here are my advice on how to make good preparations for your speech.

    First, pick a interesting topic so that the audience won't get boring. Second, do broad researches on the topic to satisfy the audience's hunger for knowledge. Then write your speech and turn to your Chinese teachers for help, which advice will be beneficial. Besides, much attention should be paying to your voice or body language. Try to speak as fluent as possible. In a word, you'd better do whatever you can win the contest.

    Nowadays, the computer technology develops very fast that the Internet has become more and more popular. Some students regarded it as a great helper. Because there has a lot of information online, so they can surf the Internet for any information they need in a short time without working hard in the library. This is also very convenient to talk with others by using the Internet. Moreover, other students think that there is some information online that is not good for students. In addition, spend too much time playing games will not only have a bad effect on their studies but also do harms to health. Therefore, we should make properly use of the Internet. It's of great importance separate good plants from wild weeds.
