Is lunch your favorite part of the school day？The school lunches I grew up with may be different from yours.

Just like in China, schools in the US do provide lunch for students. But when I was a kid, it was also common（普遍） for us to bring our own lunches to school. Every day, parents had to think about making a delicious and healthy lunch for their children. In the US, school kids sometimes can forget their lunch, or have a bully （霸凌者） take their lunch.

And that's not all. Most US schools , after a certain age, allow（允许） kids to go out for lunch. US kids can also get a driver's license （驾照） when they turn 16. After my friends and I turned 16, we'd often like to drive away from school and find something to eat. A common place for us to eat was our town's supermarket. In this supermarket, they served fried chicken. After eating, we'd go to the park before we had to go back to class.

In Thailand, people do not eat with chopsticks, like in China, Japan, and Korea. They use spoons and forks. . Most food is already cut. If you need to cut things, use the side of your spoon first and then use your fork. . If you are right-handed, keep the spoon in your right hand and the fork in your left hand.

. The rice is not on the same plate with the other food. It is not necessary to finish all your rice or all your food. It is good to leave a little on your plate. If you eat anything, it means you want more.
