In my opinion, it can be beneficial if parents accompany their children to the university on the first day of school. Lacking experience, many freshmen may feel nervous and frightened when they arrive at a place that is not familiar to them. The company of their parents may calm them down. Instead of carrying things for their children, parents can give them guidance and necessary reminders. However, there can be disadvantages, too. Depending on their parents too much, the freshmen will lose the opportunity to train themselves. Moreover, they may leave a bad impression on others, especially the teachers, thinking that they are unable to handle their own business. As for me, I prefer to go to the university by myself.
