He said he had no telephone and that it wasn’t any within walking distance, but the old there man w\ho offered to go to repair my car. 1.   complete 是形容词，这里需要副词修饰形容词 dead。所以把 complete  改成 completely. 2.    具体说道哪天或怎样的晚上，介词要用 on 而不是 in. 3.   decide 后面接动词不定式做宾语，所以要加动词不定式符号 to。 4.   根据上下文，这里是描述过去的情况，所以用过去时。 5.   因为上下文是第一提到这个小房子，所以应该用不定冠词 a。 6.   light 和 shine 构成主谓关系及主动关系，所以应该用现在分词而不是过去分词。 7.   delight 的用法是 sb. be delighted，表示感到高兴的。 8.   根据上下文，这里不是表示转折关系，而是并列关系，所以把 but 改成 and. 9.       这里是 there be 句型，表示存在。 10. but 后面是和前文形成的并列的句子，表示那个老人家提出去帮我修理车，并不需要定 语从句，所以 who 是多余的，应该删除。
